    • Effective Pixels: 24.1 megapixels (The actual number of pixels which make up the viewable image.)
  • General
    • Brand: Canon
    • Model Number: 2680C021
    • Product Name: EOS M50 Mirrorless Camera Two Lens Kit with EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM and EF-M 55-200mm 1:4.5-6.3 IS STM Zoom Lenses
    • Color: Black
    • Product Set: w/ 15-45mm & 55-200mm Lenses
    • Camera Model Family: Canon M50
    • Digital Camera Type: Mirrorless Camera with Lens
  • Imaging
    • Image Sensor Type: CMOS (CCD and CMOS are the two main technologies used in image sensors. CCD, the older of the two types, turns analog light signals into digital pixels. This conversion happens without distortion, resulting in high-quality images. Newer CMOS sensors use transistors at each pixel to move electrical charges. CMOS sensors are typically less expensive, but also require more light to create distortion-free images.)
    • Image Sensor Size: APS-C (22.2 x 14.8 mm)
    • Image Resolution (Display): 6000 x 4000 (Refers to the number of pixels, both horizontally and vertically, used to either capture an image or display it. The higher the resolution the finer the image details.)
    • Zoom Capability: true (This function allows for magnification of the subject.)
    • Digital Zoom: None (A digital zoom is accomplished electronically, with no adjustment of the camera's optics, and no optical resolution gained in the process. The existing data is not enhanced or added to, merely displayed at a lower resolution, thereby giving an illusion of an enlarged image.)
    • Low Light/High Sensitivity: true (High sensitivity digital imaging devices are designed to work in low light conditions to produce a high dynamic range image.)
    • Image File Format(s): JPEG, RAW (Standardized software format(s) of storing digital images. The type of format chosen for capturing and compressing the image can determine quality, level of detail, and storage space required.)
  • Focus
    • Autofocus: true (Allows the camera to automatically focus through the lens, rather than by adjusting the lens manually.)
    • Eye Autofocus (Eye AF): false (Automatically seeks out and focuses on the subject's eye and holds it as the camera and subject move and as the photographer shoots at high frame rates.)
  • Exposure Control
    • Shutter Speeds: 1/4000 - 30 sec. (The length of time the shutter remains open when the shutter release is activated, expressed in fractions of seconds. The longer the shutter is open, the more light that is able to be captured by the camera sensor.)
    • Minimum Aperture: 40 (The smallest opening of a lens, typically expressed in f-numbers. The larger the number, the smaller the aperture and the less light that can enter the lens. A smaller aperture creates a larger depth of field, which keeps both foreground and background in focus.)
    • Maximum Aperture: 3.5 (The limit to how wide a lens can be open, typically expressed in f-numbers. The smaller the number, the larger the aperture and the more light that can enter the lens. A larger aperture creates a shallower depth of field, helpful for keeping subjects in focus and blurring background details.)
    • Brightness Control: true (Allows the camera to adjust the brightness of a captured image for optimal exposure.)
    • Self Timer: true
    • White Balance Modes: Auto; Daylight; Shade; Cloudy; Tungsten light; White fluorescent light; Flash; Color temperature; Custom WB (Settings that calibrates how the color white is rendered in an image/video, reducing the appearance of unnatural contrasts caused by various light sources.)
    • Effective Pixels: 24.1 megapixels (The actual number of pixels which make up the viewable image.)
  • Lens
    • Lens Mount Compatibility: Canon EF, Canon EF-M, Canon EF-S
    • Lens Type: Standard Zoom
    • Minimum Focal Length: 15 millimeters (The minimum distance between the lens and the image sensor that allows the subject to be in focus. The shorter the focal length, the greater the area of scene captured.)
    • Maximum Focal Length: 45 millimeters (The maximum distance between the lens and the image sensor that allows the subject to be in focus. The greater the focal length, the smaller the area of scene captured.)

Q: What is the battery life for this camera? In full battery how many shots can we take?

A: I would say that the best you can get is about 300 shots out of a full battery charge with this camera, especially if you view the images after taking them. The battery, to me, is somewhat underpowered for what the camera is capable of in the level of performance. As with every camera you should always have a fully charged spare battery in your camera bag because they do have a habit of going out just when something important is coming up. I always carry one spare but in this case I will be getting a second spare battery very soon, especially if you are doing any traveling. Speaking of batteries, I would recommend using only the Canon battery for this or any Canon camera. The aftermarket brands may be cheaper but you don't know how the voltage levels in these cheapie batteries will affect the camera, now or later on during the life of the camera. And when you stop and think about it, the Canon battery is truly not that much more expensive when viewed over the entire life of the camera. I hope this info helps you out! it is an awesome camera for the short money Best Buy wanted for it!

Q: are these lenses "kit" lattlesenses? The DSLR bundles that came with multiple lenses were not the same quality as off the shelf lenses. with plastic mounts and wobbles and r

A: I'm not sure what you mean. Any canon kit lens I've bought recently was also sold separately. These have nice clear images when I use them and I have enjoyed them immensely. They are plastic housed, but I believe that is to save weight. They do not feel cheap to me at all. Picture quality is brilliant and build quality is solid as well.

Q: Do you need the extra lense? Looking to use for sports, soccer? Easy to use with additional/zoom lense, heavy? Thanks.

A: If you get the camera with two lenses that should work for what your asking. As for weight the telephoto lens add a little but, it's still not to heavy. Depends on which type of lenses they very in weights and not all lenses can auto focus. Make sure you have read the manual. I would suggest that you download it and go through it prior to purchase to make sure it will d I what you want,

Q: What comes in the box?

A: Camera, 2 lenses, charger, and battery.

Q: Will the lens from my Canon EOS Rebel T2i work on the Canon EOS M50 Mirrorless Camera? Are they interchangable?

A: You can use the lenses from your T2i by purchasing the Canon EF-EF-M adapter. And yes, the lenses ARE interchangeable.
