A Compact Powerhouse for Creators
The Canon EOS R8 is a versatile and highly capable camera that punches well above its weight. It’s perfect for photographers and videographers who value image quality, advanced features, and portability. Whether you’re upgrading from an older DSLR or looking to dive into full-frame mirrorless photography, the R8 delivers exceptional value. Despite its small size, the grip is comfortable and well-designed, making it easy to handle even large RF lenses. Its compact body fits snugly into small bags, which is convenient for traveling and packing light. This camera lacks in-body image stabilization, but its lightweight design and lens-based stabilization compensate for this. Excellent Full Frame
The R8 is a camera with fantastic features, ideal as an initiation camera, second camera body and even as a main camera, in my case it was my main camera for a long period of time, it is light and the camera body is small which allows it to be easily transported, it uses Canon LP E17 batteries, with a good duration according to the use that is being given to it, however the additional original materials of the brand are not expensive, in my normal workflow I transport three batteries, the only "bad" thing is that it has only one memory slot, It would be perfect if it were double. The quality of the screen and the viewfinder is perfect, I have a camera cage for protection and to be able to add accessories, 100% recommended

Welcome Upgrade!
The Canon R8 is a welcomed upgrade from my previous Canon 6D Mark I. While the 6D's image quality is still incredible, I found that the R8's autofocus and tech improvements in the machine made photography much easier. Can I accomplish similar results on a 6D? Probably. However it is much easier to accomplish these tasks mainly in the vein of portrait photography! Super fun, great camera. Incredible bang for buck. Considered the R6MII, but to be honest, I didn't need the dual SIM card and IBIS and yes battery is weak but far from usable. Rather would put the $1k of savings into a new lens!
