The Canon Rebel line of cameras is very user friendly and takes great pictures. I had a Rebel T2i until recently I upgraded to the Rebel T5i and I like them both, I have only had the T5i for a month though. The style hasn't changed from T2i to T5i, the only difference is the standard lens that it comes with, the newer model is a touch screen on somethings and the screen flips. I like the new lens(18-55mm Ultra Sonic Motor) because it focuses within less than a second and the focus is very quite. I have only had 1 issue with the new lens though. I just took a photography class in the mountains and we were taking photos of the stars. The new lens focuses internally so you cannot see it on the outside of the camera. When the instructor tired focusing the lens on the stars we couldn't get it to focus because there is no way to tell whether turning it left or right is going to focus it and it was hard to look through the view finder to see if it was focused when it's very dark out. I ended up using my telephoto lens on the stars because I could physically see that lens focusing but I wanted a wider view with the new lens. Other than that one issue I have had a good experience with the lens so far. Overall I would recommend this camera to a beginner photographer because it is easy to use, the lens has high technology and it's fun to have a touch screen when sliding through your photos.

This camera is an upgrade from my Rebel T2i which I was really happy with but the T5i is so much better, with picture quality, better range of ISO speeds, flip out LCD monitor. It weighs less than the T2i, a little bit, which is very nice when taking lots of pictures.I am the "official" photographer for our local RC Airplane club and I usually take LOTS of pictures when we have a flying event like 2000-3000 pictures a day! The continuous burst setting makes it very easy to catch good action shots! And also great shots of planes making them look like the real ones flying. The members are really liking seeing pictures of their planes like that. This camera makes me feel like a professional photographer rather than the amateur that I am! Really like it! I don't believe I would ever switch to a different brand other than Canon. Very well made and ease of use. Thanks Canon!

This is a great camera for all uses but you really need to put in the time and the effort in learning to shoot in manual if you want to get the full use of it if you plan on just shooting on auto then I recommend buying a less expensive point and shoot.

The T5i is a awesome camera to compete with the Professionals. It has a variety of options that will take you weeks to learn and use. Take stills or video, and add creative features like B&W images. It has most of the features a professional might use, but easy enough for the amateur.

Easy to use basic features. Standard lense is great. I'm an amateur photographer and youtuber and this camera is perfect for both those things. The flip-out screen is very usefull. (Instagram: @pnw.ang)

I've had this camera for a month now and I am absolutely satisfied with the performance of it. I take a lot of automotive photography and people are so happy with their photos. Awesome piece of equipment!

I would give this thing a 5 if it weren't for it missing a key feature. Please note, it doesn't have an audio meter visible while recording. Not cool for those of us who make movies. That is really my biggest issue with it though. Besides that it produces great picture and video.

100% satisfied from the product itself. Sadly my camera was stolen and I guess theft isn't covered in the 70 dollar warranty I paid for :'(

This replaced the recalled Canon T4i so I knew what I was getting. The touch screen feature is by far the best feature of the camera. Easy to use right out of the box.

I love this camera. With that being said, it is so good to learn on, that I'm beginning to feel like I may need something more pretty quick. Would I go back and spend twice as much for a D series Canon? Probably not, I'm very happy with the t5i. Just know you may very well fall hard for photography after learning all of it's great features.
