Q: Is this printer compatible with Linux OS?

A: No, this printer is not compatible with Linux OS.

Q: can it scan documents into my computer?

A: Yes you can. Follow instructions. Watch videos on u tube. Call cannon if you have to.

Q: how much do cartridges cost and how pages can you print on one cartridge?

A: A regular cartridge costs around $70. A high yield toner cartridge costs around $100. High yield has more toner than 2 regular. And shop around for these prices, they go up and down.

Q: Is this printer compatible with the Mac OS? Currently running Sierra (10.11) on an iMac, and of course also want ability to print from my iPads, etc.

A: YES ---YOU CAN USE IT TO DIRECTLY FAX THROUGH A TELEPHONE ( LAND LINE). tHE TELEPHONE CONNECTIONIS ON THE SIDE. nO EXTRA PROGRAM IS REQUIRED, JUST FOLLOW THE MACHINE SOFTWARE INSTRUCTIONS. The software is also on the dell site.

Q: Is this printer compatible with HP Print? I have an HP Envy laptop.

A: I have a Dell and HP and this printer works with both and I have not had any issues. I also print from an iPhone without any problems.
