I went to Best Buy the night before I was to leave for a 3 day weekend of touring gardens. I had a certain camera in mind, but they didn't have it in stock. This wound up being my good fortune because this camera was about $100 less and takes amazing pictures right from auto. All I had to do was turn it on and it zoomed when needed for beautiful flowers and butterflies and also wide range shots were perfect every time with little help from me. When my friends saw the photos they were amazed at the quality that came from such a small, light camera. You need to supply a memory card, but that's fine since the ones that come with one have very little storage anyway. I would suggest getting an extra battery if it's going to be used for more than 3 hours at a time. though. Thumbs up!

Great camera is great for casual photography. It performs well and captures colors beautifully (see the attached picture showing colorful Caribbean water and lush greenery) ,and it is a great camera to take with you on vacation. I had a chance to test the camera in dimmer lighting as well and the performance is good (see the attached picture showing cars at a car show where lighting was not very bright and was artificial -- no sun light). Again, I was satisfied with how nice colors came out. This camera is capable of transferring photos to your computer via a WiFi link. However, if you do not want the hassle of setting up the WiFi link you can avoid doing that by just inserting the SDHC card of your camera into your computer directly (you need to make sure your computer has a slot for such a card). That is what I did, and I avoided the hassle of setting up a WiFi link. This camera is a great buy.

The Canon takes good, outdoor photos, with vivid colors. I just use it for point and shoot, and it does a good job. I carry it with me golfing and I like to take photos of the water birds, etc., on the course. It's small enough to fit in my pocket and in a golf cart drink holder. The only issue I've seen is: when I take it out of the case after bouncing around on the golf course, the display is on and shows the last photo taken, even with the camera being off for some time. Must be subject to vibration?

Easy to set up, easy to use, wonderful zoom, very handy and light, magical focus, small enough to take everywhere in a pocket or girlfriend's small wallet-bag!!! Love it!!!

I already own an earlier model of this particular camera and really liked the way it worked but my inlaws mainly use it. My husband bought me this one for my birthday. I love the size and weight of this camera. I can carry it in a case or in my bag easily, wherever I go. The picture quality is really good, but at times even with the auto focus feature, a picture will come out somewhat blurry. There are many great feature options on this camera to help you get the best poctures for selfies, action photos, photos in dark or dim lighting, outdoor and indoor photos, and close ups. There is a flash option available for night photos as well. You can also use a timer if you want to take a family photo and whatnot. A movie (video camera) option is available as well. My favorite feature upgrade on this camera is the remote location shooting option. There is a canon camera app hat you can download onto your phone or tablet thats allows you to be able to take hands free photos with your camera. By usng this app, your camera can be used somewhat like a security cam or even a baby monitor. You can set your camera up in one room, and view everything directly on your phone or tablet. You can zoom in or out from your tablet or phone (just make sure digiral camera is on a stable surface since the lenss will extend). You can take photos with the touch of a button on your phone or tablet, with or without a timer. Also, after taking photos, you can view all of the saved photos from the camera right on phone or tablet. You can then transfer photos and videos without having to use a cord or having to remove sd card. You can also share photos and vids to your social networks this way. Awesome feature. I really like this camera a lot. I use it several times a day since I'm a product reviewer and blogger and I'm pretty happy with the results. Is it my favorite camera? No, but it would probably be if it had a touch screen, and didn't have the auto focus issue I mentioned earlier.

I like the camera a lot. It's easy to use and small enough to carry in a pocket. So far the photos seem great! My only issue was that a couple of the days during the week I used it, the battery lost the charge a lot sooner that I expected but that was not consistent.

Pros: good image quality, fast-on and off video recording, lightweight, several modes for shooting creative pictures Con: battery life unpredictable, battery goes quickly from half-full to ....dead! Cannot directly connect to computer, need to connect through WiFi, and this is difficult to setup, unless you are a geek!

I bought this camera to take with me when I didn't feel like carrying my larger Sony around. It is compact and very easy to use. The pictures I have taken so far have been very good - but not excellent. Much better than the typical phone pic's I see everywhere, but definitely not SLR quality. But it's NOT an SLR, it's a point-and-shoot camera and I am loving the results I'm getting for the price I paid. Focus sensing is amazing. Low light pictures are OK. The automatic mode on the camera seems to be very smart. I did a LOT of research on point-and-shoot cameras in this price range before buying this camera and had concluded that image quality from this model was decidedly better than the competitors. So far, I'm very impressed. There are a ton of point-and-shoot cameras out there that all look the same - that have nearly identical specifications. Separating the wheat from the chaff should not be left to a store associate - do your research carefully on-line first. Newer models are coming out all the time. I think I made a great decision with this camera, but it would be wise to make sure something better hasn't come along. I can't imagine why anyone would be disappointed with this camera.

Bought this small compact camera for our first trip with our grandson to Disneyworld. Glad we did. Many of the features were want we wanted. We also wanted a camera with better picture and recording quality than our smart phones. Liked the wifi connection to my iPad. Was able to easily copy pictures at the end of each day with the wifi connection. Nice feature. You can also control the phone from your iPad. Neat.

Camera takes very good pictures and it is easy to use. The WiFi connection makes it easy to transfer pictures to a computer or cell phone. My son even found a Canon phone app that allows him to take a photo with the camera through the app on his phone, allowing him to take a large group picture with him in it by use of the app. Excellent camera.

This is my second ELPH. The first one still works fine but we wanted something with a better picture quality. This does it. This camera is so easy to use. We do a lot of traveling and the size of the camera, ease of use, and quality mean a lot to us. This camera fits the bill. I also set up the WIFI. It is also easy to use the the Canon app for my iphone works well too. Still not sure of the value but it is fun to use.

The small size make it ideal for travel (easily fits in a pocket). It takes good quality photos in low light conditions. Unfortunately the battery life is very short. I had to purchase a back up battery just in case.

I honestly bought this just because of the post to web function, I am glad I did. Perfect size to fit in my purse so I can carry at all times and great for action pics. Nice and lightweight and the battery that came with is nice but would reccommend buying a spare as using zoom and flash does drain it faster then others. Over all though a great small camera

This camera is easy to use, has many user-friendly features and is conveniently small. I used its fireworks setting at the Needle in Seattle at midnight on New Year's Eve and the results were great.

Needed to get a camera for an upcoming trip as our existing camera will not accept an SD card with larger than a 2G capacity. The camera is small and lightweight and easy to use. It seems to take good pictures and has a nice zoom.
