After researching the best compact cameras for travelling, where I didn't want to take my DSLR because of size, I decided on this camera. The quality and ease of use definitely exceeded my expectations and it was really a fun camera to use on my vacation. There are a lot of settings built in. The tilting display was extremely handy. The portrait modes were my favorite for capturing local people on my trip to South East Asia. I highly recommend! The zoom was the only thing I was worried about but it was actually amazing how far I could get a good, clear photo from. Great action shots too.I have no complaints so far!

So I vlog a lot and saw a lot of vloggers use this camera and wow ! Such an amazing camera ! The video quality is by far so high resolution I was in awe when I was watching my videos ! The photo mode is ridiculously amazing ! The detail and color of the pictures and videos are stunning ! It also helps that the screen flips around so you can see yourself ! I've owned many cameras over the years, and have always carried a point an shoot for quick and easy shots..in addition to my dslr..i do love my Sony A5100 mirrorless, but lately, the images seem blah, the colors not as vivid..my husband says its the photographer not the camera..:: rolling eyes:: I even reset camera setting back to factory default....I got this camera for Christmas..the images are crystal clear..many features that, i haven't tried yet...there is a F-stop of 1.8 which is fantastic for bokeh..its a little chubby and wont fit into a women pocket, but its definitely a nice camera, either as a second if your preferred shooting is dslr..this camera gives you the not just standard auto shooting but manual which is still my preference., aperture , shutter, program and scene settings..i only did a few second videos of birds and the video is quite nice..give it a try...

If you want to leave your dslr at home and avoid being stuck with your phone camera this is an amazing solution. The presets are great, especially the portrait and stars modes. Fits in most pockets as long as you're not wearing skinny jeans...
