Canon - PowerShot SX740 HS 20.3-Megapixel Digital Camera - Silver

I bought this camera ahead of a once-in-a-lifetime vacation. Back in the day, I used a film SLR, digital SLR, and eventually a Canon SX10IS. For personal reasons, I didn't want to bring something even that big along. I'm SO happy I didn't! The zoom on this baby is incredible! Quick video! So light, and intuitive to figure out without needing to refer to the quick start guide. And my pictures and videos were AWESOME! My dad, who fancies himself a semi-pro, and carried all of his big gear and lenses around, was a wee bit envious of how quickly I could get a shot just as good, if not BETTER than his! I think my zoom was better than anything he had with him! ;) *I loved*: size, weight, instructions on screen for various features, movable screen (to see better in glare situations, or for selfies!) *Meh*: wrist strap is so long that it's practically non-functional (I had to swap with another device I had for fear of dropping camera), screen location seems like it might get scratched and camera is hard to hold without getting your fingers all over it (my SX10IS has a screen that opens up + a viewfinder), wi-fi capabilities are quite cumbersome/slow and I haven't found a way to send just one photo instead of dumping them all (Admittedly, I have not yet paired my smartphone with the camera, so maybe that's different.) Overall, it was an important part of my wonderful vacation, and I'm looking forward to continuing to use it in my everyday creative life!

This camera is absolutely amazing for anyone searching for a lightweight and useful camera. The pop up screen makes it SO much better! It's a must have for me, I love to take selfies and this is just the perfect camera. The buttons are super soft, the screen is HD, the pictures have an excellent quality, and the camera as a whole is not heavy at all! It's kind of a pocket camera, it doesn't take much room and it's super easy to carry everywhere. Also, transferring the pics to ur smartphone is SUPER easy, one click, and its done! Purchased this digital camera to carry with me on trips. I wanted something compact, with an on body flash, and customizable settings. This cannon has all of these things and more to offer. Includes an app that makes for easy photo transfers to post on social media as well. Battery life is great. I highly recommend this purchase if these things appeal to you. One downside is that the screen is not a touchscreen however it is still easy to navigate settings and images that have been taken.

I absolutely love the Canon PowerShot SX740 HS! The camera quality is amazing, especially for photos and videos during trips and everyday moments. It is very easy to use, lightweight, and the zoom works incredibly well. The colors look beautiful and clear, even from far away. I’m really happy with this camera and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great compact camera.

This has been my going out camera for a few years now. I love how tiny it is, so I can stick it in my purse and go. I’ve bought accessories for it too and it’s adorable. The pictures always come out so good! As long as you always use flash. One down side is that SOMETIMES the pictures come out a little blurry. Just getting closer to the subject seems to help this though. Overall, definitely recommend!
