The RF24mm F1.4 L VCM is part of the expanding Hybrid lens series, targeting a wide range of still-image and video shooters, with a combination of wide-angle coverage, a fast f/1.4 maximum aperture, and excellent optical design. On a full frame camera this lens gives you a wide-angle look which has for decades been used to add drama to photos and videos, and has always been a very popular for establishing shots. On the video side, this lens really shines with a dedicated manual Iris ring, and a new linear focus motor called a VCM (Voice Coil Motor) that is virtually silent. Some items like your keys or wallet you just take everywhere you go because you just never know. For anyone with an EOS R series camera, add the RF50mm F1.8 STM lens to that list. As part of the EOS R System, it’s nice and compact thanks to its RF mount so you can shoot – and get a great shot – anywhere and anytime. Size isn’t all though. As a fixed focal length lens, it lets you be creative with composition and can be used for a wide range of scenes from snapshots to portraits, landscapes to low-light situations and more. Those images will stand out, too, just like you intend whether on social media, or when sharing or printing, thanks to impressive optical features like a PMo aspherical lens to suppress aberrations, Super Spectra coating to reduce flaring and ghosting, and a large f/1.8 aperture for low-light shooting and beautiful bokeh. Pick it up and use it one time and you’ll see for yourself, and you won’t be able to leave the house without it.

The RF28-70mm F2.8 IS STM lens is our new lens that is perfect for both still and video content creators who may have a smaller budget but want high quality. This lens is now the smallest, lightest, RF zoom lens with extremely high image quality (equal that of an L-series lens). For still image creators this light and compact lens weighing in at just over one pound will be a “take anywhere” kind of lens. Offering a fast F2.8 aperture throughout the zoom range, photographers can work in low light situations or take creative control and blur the foreground and background with wide apertures not available on standard kit lenses.

I don't understand what the point of pre-ordering and then cancelling the order.

Pre ordered and order was cancelled. Absolutely useless system. Canon must hate Best Buy because you can literally buy the lens anywhere else as of 12/28/24.
