Cantabile Singers - Lullabyes & Goodbyes - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Bellantoni / Montesanto - Ruy Blas / Saffo / la Forza Del Destino [COMPACT DISCS] date 01/01/2001

Norwegian composer and pianist Andreas Ihlebæk is ready for his solo piano album debut. After the of pop/soul album Inchthe GuestInch German press including Bild, Stern and Jazz Thing reacted with rave reviews for the album and his performances. Back in Norway Andreas wanted to explore a more naked and warm soundscape and turned to well-known Norwegian folk tunes and lullabies. Growing up in Hamburg and later San Francisco Andreas found calmness and identity playing and improvising these familiar tunes. Northern Lullabies has become a tender and sweet listening experience for late evenings and nights.

He's the powerful new voice of blues-laced rock. British-born and bred, Aynsley Lister's influences come as much from contemporary British rock such as Kula Shaker and Stereophonics as from classic rockers ZZ Top, Bryan Adams, Free and The Rolling Stones. Amazingly this is Lister's fourth but the first vinyl of this album.
