As I have come to expect from Amazon's cases for their devices, this is an excellent quality product though on the expensive side compared to third-party cases. While there are some minor drawbacks, overall it is a very nice case. Quick thoughts: MATERIAL - The exterior material is polyurethane that is comfortable to grip and doesn't get dirty. It is not smooth like first-grain leather would be, but it has a nice look and feel to it. The inside is a microfiber lining that protects the screen and keeps it scratch-free. The overall finish is excellent. You can simply drop the tablet into your bag and you won't have to worry about it getting damaged or scratched. DESIGN - The case is slim, which is perhaps the thing I like most about this case. It hardly adds any bulk to the device. The Kindle snaps into the polycarbonate frame perfectly and stays securely in place. If you were to hold the front cover and leave the device hanging, there is absolutely no chance of it falling out. The charging port, volume buttons, camera, and headphone jack are not covered and are easily accessible. The case does not muffle the speaker sound either. The case has built-in magnets which keeps it securely closed, and prevents dust from getting to the screen. When you close the cover, the Fire automatically goes into sleep mode, opening the cover turns on the device automatically. This helps save battery life, plus it's convenient not to have to press buttons to turn the screen on or off. USE - The front flap folds all the way back and stays flush against the back, making it easy to use the device one-handed in either landscape mode or portrait mode - very useful when you are reading. Since the case hardly adds any weight, one-handed reading is very easy. The headphone jack and volume buttons are easily reachable. The case has a built-in stand for hands-free viewing in landscape or portrait orientation - the front flap simply folds into a stand. While the stand works great on a flat surface like a table or desk, it doesn't work too well if you're holding the device in your lap or on a soft surface (like on your bed). So if you watch videos sitting in bed, the stand will be wobbly - this is perhaps the biggest drawback of this case. DRAWBACKS - Three main drawbacks - one is price. Considering that the material is polyurethane and not leather, at $49.99, the case is expensive, far more expensive than third-party cases that are available for around $15. Design-wise the third party cases are perhaps just as good if not better, but the material and quality of this case are far superior. To be fair, I see this case lasting a lot longer than generic cases, so the higher price could be justified. Second drawback - the case needs to be removed in order to access the MicroSD card slot. I personally don't use this much because most of my content is with Amazon which I can view instantly, but this may be an issue if you plan to store movies on a memory card to watch when traveling. Inconvenient to remove the case each time to access the slot. Third drawback, as I've already mentioned, is the stand. While the stand works great on a flat surface, it doesn't hold up well on a soft surface or if you're using it while watching videos with the tablet in your lap. I mostly use the tablet to read, and only occasionally watch videos, so the stand doesn't bother me that much, but you may want to take this issue into consideration if you watch videos sitting in bed. Overall I am very pleased with the case given it's excellent material, finish, and fit. Yes it is more expensive than generic cases, but since I expect this to last for as long as I have the Kindle Fire, I think it's a worthwhile investment.

Provides good protection for the tablet and the stand feature is useful. Only dislikes are that when holding the opened case with both hands for typing, the bottom left corner of the binding cuts into the palm of my left hand. The other dislike is that the camera lens is blocked when the case is in the open position.

I purchased this to provide protection for my Kindle Fire, it seems to be holding up well. I like that it fits the device securely and the cover automatically puts my Fire to sleep without having to turn the power off/ on every time I go to use it. I do think however, it's a bit pricey for what it is, that's why I gave it 4 stars. Overall, I am satisfied with it.

I like this cover for my kindle. I wish it wasn't quite so easy to remove it from the case though. The magnetic closure and flap for the stand are nice. Keeps the case slim and doesn't add much weight.

I LIKE IT A LOT. Even the case is partly magnetized to keep the pointer easy to find. The hard case protects the Kindle against hard knocks and accidents. It folds so that it is suppoted while in use.

The Fire fits snugly into the case. Since it has a diagonal crease on one side, it can be propped on a hard surface for hands free reading. I would definitely recommend it.

Not as sturdy as it should be for the price. Only comes in black. Easy to keep clean. It is the only cover available for this product.

Amazon does a really nice job of designing the cases for their tablets. They fit nice and snug and are easy to put on and do a great job at protecting the tablet, which is very light.

I bought this for Amazon's Fire HD 10 and it fit perfectly. You can use it as a stand also as it folds so you can view the tablet horizontally and vertically. It feels sturdy and well made. No complaints.

Pretty good product but the cost is amazing....it does everything that it supposed to do but it should have something else like a screen protector for the cost of 50 bucks.

It fits and does all it should . It protects and when you close the case it turns off the screen and locks. When you open it the screen turns on. Perfect

Not the best, not the worst. Magnet can be a little strong making it hard to open the case some times. Does the job, but prefer the other cases with key board space
