Catherine Zarcate - Les Fils Du Vent - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

GREAT WOMEN OF SONG ELLA FITZGERALD - Known internationally as InchThe First Lady of Song,Inch Ella Fitzgerald was also, importantly, the first lady of Verve Records - the tag that was essentially created for her by her manager and tag founder, Norman Granz. This collection brings together Ella's most cherished recordings in the company of American music's greatest performers and composers including Louis Armstrong, George & Ira Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern, among many others.

Unanimously acclaimed by her peers, the music-loving public and the press, French pianist Catherine Collard (1947-1993) died far too soon. The memories of her concerts, master classes and generosity are still very much alive today. The recordings made for Erato and EMI gathered here bear witness to her exceptional talent.
