Cathy Hamer - Lady Full of Dreams - VINYL LP

Caught between the Canyon and the Caribbean, Cathy Hamer's pair of extremely private LP's got lost in the Me Decade's hippy hangover. Tracked in '79 and '80 at Roanoke, Virginia's custom bluegrass powerhouse Threshold Recordings, these 11 originals breeze through all colors- folk, country, yacht, etc-of the cosmic American rainbow. Remastered LP comes housed in a tip-on jacket with accompanying booklet of notes and the precious few photos that survived from Hamer's brief time as a lady of the canyon, full of dreams and nowhere to go.

Icons Creating Evil Art - Hannah Aldridge - Dream Of America - Deploying a charming blend of power and vulnerability, Aldridge delivers her stories with all the conviction of a church bell ringing out through the streets of a small Alabama town. 'Dream of America' will be released June, 2023 via Icons Creating Evil Art.

It's Just a Dream, previously self-released by Kath Bloom exclusively on CD, is a tribute to a life and time in the early 1990s, which found Bloom living in rural Florida training horses and making music with Peter Friedman and Stan Bronski, who play guitar and bass on the album respectively. Her musings on life, romance, childhood, and the injustices of society strike chords of solemnity and empathy, solitude and community all at once. A lone wolf in her uniqueness, Kath Bloom's spirit shines with the beauty of how emotional and meaningful it is to be in the world, and hear it. The record is out on vinyl on 10/7 through ORG Music.
