About This Item

Formed in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada in late-1989, CATSCAN's members-Alan Goddard (vocals, bass), Sean Horodyski and Brian Erfle (guitars), and Todd Pitts (drums)-combined their individual influences into an interesting and unique take on techy, thrash-leaning metal that wouldn't draw immediate comparisons to any of their contemporaries. Also of note is the lyrical direction having been influenced by Alan's Christian faith-especially interesting in that the rest of the band didn't necessarily agree with such concepts. CATSCAN would go on to record 11 songs over the course of three sessions at Fiasco Bros. Studios (ANNIHILATOR, BLASPHEMY, DEFIANCE) from 1991 into 1992. That being said, only the first four-song session was ever properly released as 1991's Witness the Change demo. In the end, the tape was not heavily promoted, and the group only performed live two times-one at which members of METALLICA were rumored to have been in the audience, and another alongside early Devin Townsend project GREY SKIES-before breaking up prior to the end of 1992. Over 30 years later, Divebomb Records is thrilled to collect the complete recordings of CATSCAN's obscure and inventive metal on one CD, Inside My Mind The Demo Anthology. Fully remastered by Jamie King Audio, more than half of the songs are here being officially released for the very first time. The disc will be housed alongside a 16-page booklet containing lyrics and a retrospective interview with the band. For the fans, by the fans! Album Tracks 1. Endless Time 2. Foolish Dream 3. A Day Late and a Dollar Short 4. Evil's All You See 5. Inside My Mind 6. Pre-Destination Fate 7. The Simple Truth 8. Criminal Injustice 9. Certain Death 10. Innocent Victims 11. Compromise of Reality
