Vinyl LP pressing. In addition to appearing as a sideman on dates led by Kenny Burrell, Freddie Hubbard, and Jackie McLean, tenor saxophonist Tina Brooks recorded several of his own Blue Note sessions as a leader between 1958-61. However, only one would be released during Brooks' too-brief lifetime, the hard bop masterpiece True Blue. A jewel of the Blue Note catalog, the album was recorded in June 1960 just one week after Brooks appeared on Hubbard's own Blue Note debut Open Sesame. Once again Brooks and Hubbard joined forces on the frontline with Duke Jordan on piano, Sam Jones on bass, and Art Taylor on drums. The quintet take flight on five of Brooks' distinctive compositions including InchGood Old Soul,Inch InchUp Tight's Creek,Inch and the grooving title track before closing with an elegant version of the standard InchNothing Ever Changes My Love For You.Inch

Transa is a 1972 masterpiece by Brazilian icon Caetano Veloso, recorded in London during his political exile. The album beautifully blends rock, reggae, and traditional Brazilian rhythms with poignant lyrics written in both English and Portuguese.

(LP + CD) Originally released in 1968, Caetano Veloso's debut album did for Brazilian music what the Beatles' Sgt. Peppers did for rock & roll, giving birth to the soon-to-be Tropicalia movement, which fused Brazilian music with pop, psychedelia and social awareness (and Veloso's leftist politics actually earned him a stint in jail in 1968 for 'anti-government activity'). Veloso, nonetheless went on to become one of the most popular and influential Brazilian musicians of all time. Includes the genre-defining classics InchClariceInch and InchSoy Loco Por Tì, AméricaInch, InchSuperbacanaInch, InchTropicaliaInch and InchAlegria, AlegriaInch. Now with bonus CD of the album and OBI InchbookmarkInch Japanese style.
