Cheba Massolo - Coyazz - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

For more than 50 years, the international Beethoven Competition held by piano manufacturer Bösendorfer and the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna has been taking place every 4 years; in 2017 for the 15th rendition, the Italian Rodolfo Leone was crowned as 1st prize winner by the highly regarded international jury from far more than 250 competing young talents. His play induces critics to utterances like Inch... he seemed to be communicating with distant worlds, as a true sound philosopherInch (Oberösterreichische Nachrichten), which Rodolfo Leone documents with this Beethoven album. Besides the Sonata Op. 106, the famous Hammerklavier-Sonata, by extent and musical content the most complex, outshining all the others of Beethoven's sonatas, an interlude, the Andante favori is given, which Beethoven originally composed as slow movement of the Waldstein sonata, Op. 53, which follows afterwards. This album is a debut with great interpretive maturity and indescribable power.

With his Canzoni, Frescobaldi affirmed the genre, rather than renewing it, but brought it to it's peak. For this recording, Les Basses Réunies reconstructed a consort of low-pitched members of the violin family, which are joined by the smooth sound of the cornett and a sumptuous continuo section. After the success of the Red, Yellow, Blue, Pink and White collections (a total of sixty reissues) which gave a new lease of life to the pearls of the Baroque catalogues from our house labels, here are fourteen new titles which offer a chance to discover other treasures, whether Baroque or dating from an earlier or later era. Like the most recent series, this sixth instalment opens out onto the Classical repertory (Mozart by Ensemble 415 and Chiara Banchini) and the Renaissance (Févin by Doulce Mémoire and Denis Raisin Dadre); recordings that are an integral part of Alpha's identity and history. Fourteen reissues performed by the leading musicians in the field, most of which received one or more awards on their original . Proper booklets accompany the discs, with notes in three languages (French, English, German). Photographers from all over the world have been selected to illustrate the covers, this time with the guiding thread of the color green, a symbol of nature, fertility... and hope!

While it might be tempting to compare her sound and style to everyone from Norah Jones to Lauryn Hill, 23-year-old MoZella stakes out her own musical territory-pop melodies, jazzy soulful vocals-on her debut EP , a warm-up for her forthcoming full-length premiere. A beguiling blend of natural-born songwriting skills, a distinctive vocal gift and a lifetime steeped in music, MoZella could well be the most exciting new arrival from Detroit in decades. Maverick. 2005.
