Q: how does the door come off for cleaning
A: I don't think it does. The door is a major flaw on this unit as it's a crumb and grease magnet, and has lots of little holes and spaces where things can drop.
Q: What does the rotate button do? It doesn’t seem to do anything when I press it.
A: It only will rotate the basket and rotisserie when slid into the grooves properly.
A: Same happened to ours, but we bought the 3 years insurance and they replaced it for us free of charge. I’m sorry your got the same problem. You should talk to bestbuy and tell them this has happened to other people and it’s a factory issue. Good luck.
A: It is the manufacturer not Best Buy. I agree it is misleading but that is how the manufacturer advertises it.

Q: Does this air frier come with a cookbook specific to air frying?
A: Yes it does
A: I am now returning mine in part because of exactly what you are asking! I found only one loaf pan and an eight inch square pan that will fit. Outside of what it comes with, not much else will fit. Not happy!!
Q: Does it have place to catch dripping and where heater on top or bottom?
A: It has a removable drip tray on the bottom. Heat blows in from top
