A Boogie Woogie State of Mind is Caroline's fourth CD. It's Boogie Woogie All Stirred Up! With some traditional-style solo piano, some Blues, Swing, Rock & Jazz grooves, and some beautiful Caroline medleys. She's joined by premier San Francisco Bay Area musicians Jeff Ervin on tenor & alto saxes, Joe Kyle, Jr. #on acoustic bass, Bowen Brown & Kevin Hayes on drums, and Steve Parks on electric bass and adding beautifully strong vocals on three songs. Six of the album's 12 tracks are Caroline originals, two are her arranged medleys of some standards, and the other four are covers of oldies but goodies. If you like your Boogie Woogie piano All Stirred Up! #in American Roots grooves, you'll love A Boogie Woogie State of Mind. [!-link value='Inch //carolinedahl. #hearnow. New piano transcriptions by Greek pianist Alexandra Papastefanou of various Cantatas, an Organ Sonata and a Chorale Prelude by J.S. Bach, all recorded here for the first time. The famous Myra Hess transcription of Bach's cantata Jesus bleibet meine Freude concludes a fascinating new look at some of Bach's choral and organ works.

With over 12 million streams and a reputation built on sold-out shows across the UK, The Milk return with their most ambitious and cinematic record to date - Borderlands. Produced by drummer Mitch Ayling and recorded live at Woods Lodge Studio, the album showcases the four lifelong friends' signature blend of classic soul, modern funk, and widescreen orchestration. Featuring singles 'I Need Your Love', 'A Time To Let Go', and 'The Middle', Borderlands has already received extensive airplay and critical acclaim, including support from BBC Radio 6 Music (Huey Morgan, Lauren Laverne), Jazz FM, Radio 2, and Radio X. The band's previous album Favourite Worry was named BBC 6 Music's Album of the Year, and their debut Tales From The Thames Delta reached the UK Top 40 and earned them Apple iTunes Band of the Year. Borderlands expands The Milk's trademark 'cinematic soul' sound with sweeping strings, full brass, and choral arrangements - mastered on vintage analogue equipment by Lewis Durham (Kitty, Daisy & Lewis). Early reviews have called it 'meticulously crafted' (Shindig), 'epic choral arrangements and widescreen orchestrations' (MOJO), and 'a fusion of 60s soul, modern funk and vintage soundtracks' (HiFi+). The band will support the album with a national tour including London's 229, Manchester's Band on the Wall, and Stroud's Subscription Rooms, alongside exclusive acoustic and listening shows. For fans of Michael Kiwanuka, Curtis Mayfield, Kamasi Washington, Marvin Gaye, Paul Weller, and The Bees.
