Chopin / Kozak - Piano - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Krzysztof Ksiazek, born in 1992 in Krakow, was a semi-finalist and recipient of two special prizes at the 17th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. He began his musical education at the age of nine in the piano class of Grazyna Hesko-Kolodzinska at the Stanislaw Wiechowicz State Primary School of Music in Krakow. From 2005 to 2016 he studied with Professor Stefan Wojtas, first as a student of the Fryderyk Chopin State Secondary School of Music in Krakow, subsequently at the Academy of Music in Krakow and finally at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, from which he graduated in 2016. He has won numerous international awards, frequently doing so performing works by Chopin, as he presents on this . Here, he presents Chopin's playful Mazurkas alongside a Scherzo, Prelude, Waltz, Fantasy, Nocturne, and Polonaise, giving a broad overview of the brilliant composer's oeuvre. Album Tracks 1. On this , Aleksandra Dabek, young pianist and laureate of numerous music competitions all over the world, presents her interpretations of Romantic music; one of the greatest piano works is included - Carnaval, Op. 9 by Robert Schumann, as well as a selection of Chopin's nocturnes and polonaises. Aleksandra Hortensja Dabek is a pupil of the Mieczyslaw Karlowicz Secondary School of Music in Katowice, in the piano class of Professor Wojciech Switala. She began her musical education at the age of seven in the class of Beata Zajac at music school in Krzeszowice, before continuing her training under Olga Lazarska in Cracow. She has many significant achievements in piano competitions to her name, including First Prize in the under-18 category at the 21st International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youngsters in Szafarnia (2013), a first class distinction in the 7th EPTA Piano Competition for Secondary School Pupils in Cracow (2012), and Third Prize in the 14th All-Poland Halina Czerny-Stefanska Piano Tournament in Zagan (2009).

Michal Karol Szymanowski, one of the most promising Polish pianists of the young generation, Michal Karol Szymanowski was born in 1988 in Bydgoszcz into a musical family. He graduated with honours from the F. Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, where he studied piano with Katarzvna Popwa-Zydron and orchestra and opera conducting with Zygmunt Rychert. At present he continues his piano education as a doctoral student at his alma mater. He simultaneously develops his abilities with Eldar Nebolsin at the Hochschule fur Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin.
