Chuck Prophet - Land That Time Forgot - VINYL LP

Chuck's first album in 4 years is inspired by the cumbia bands he saw at San Francisco clubs in the pandemic's aftermath, while undergoing cancer treatment. The music was a source of joy, during a dark time. He started playing with ¿Qiensave? a cumbia band based in Salinas, CA. The result is 11 new Chuck Prophet songs wrapped in a cumbia shell. The latin rhythms & chord progressions merge with Chuck's signature song styles to create something new that defies genre, but is undeniably joyful. The first

Limited red colored vinyl LP pressing. Chuck Prophet describes his new disc Bobby Fuller Died For Your Sins as California Noir. The state has always represented the Golden Dream, and it's the tension between romance and reality that lurks underneath the surface in all noir films and paperbacks, and that connects these songs. Doomed love, inconsolable loneliness, rags to riches to rags again, and fast-paced violence are always on the menu on the Left Coast. Featuring InchA Bad Year for Rock and Roll,Inch an ode to all of the great artists we lost in 2016 and a bunch of other Chuck Prophet (soon to be) classics.

Graham Sharp has made a name for himself as the chief songwriter and a founding member of the GRAMMY-winning Americana group Steep Canyon Rangers. As the world entered lockdown in 2020, Sharp began to draw inspiration from a wellspring of emotions. On his first solo album, Truer Picture, the songwriter tackles difficult feelings of isolation (?Come Visit My Island?) and addresses the ever-topical political unrest we continue to see in the country (?My Neighborhood?). Sharp?s unique style of songwriting is apparent on Prine-esque songs like ?North Star' and ?Coming Back to Life,? and the rich instrumentation on tracks like ?Deeper Family? (featuring harmony vocals from The War on Drugs? David Hartley) illustrates the stark sonic differences between Sharp?s solo work and his music with Steep Canyon Rangers. What we?re given is a raw portrait of one of the finest songwriters of our time, a truer picture of Graham Sharp.1. Truer Picture of Me2. Generation Blues3. Love Yourself4. North Star5. Bad Apple6.
