Chuck Ragan - Feast or Famine - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

This live recording features Ragan armed with an acoustic guitar, harmonica, and his instantly recognizable voice that recalls vintage Springsteen doused with Jameson. In fact, whether he's delicately crooning on the eerie ballad InchThe BoatInch or continuing the folk tradition of songwriters like Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger on call-to-arms tracks like InchFor Broken EarsInch, Ragan is as much a storyteller, setting up life's triumphs and failures to guitar chords and melodies.

2 Disc set.The Condon Collection, compiled by Australian musician and leading piano roll authority Denis Condon, documents major classical composers including Claude Debussy, George Gershwin and Sergei Rachmaninoff performing their famous piano works using a form of music storage and playback technology that predates modern recording techniques. Recorded between 1905 and 1933, and capturing every nuance of each individual performance, this collection of 19th Century Classics reproduces the playing styles and techniques of these legendary musicians and offers a unique opportunity to experience these rare performances and historical treasures first-hand, while also serving as a comprehensive archive of the reproducing piano's unique musical legacy.

Chuck Ragan's third studio album COVERING GROUND is as much of a love letter to his transient lifestyle as it is a concession to the loved ones he often has to leave behind and is also undeniably his most honest and accomplished album to date.
