More than anything, what you hear on this album is a band growing into it's own sound, Casal says. The songs on Let It Wander are focused and filled with imaginative musical turns. Horne and Levy form a veritable groove machine that knows intuitively when to tighten up and when to stretch out. They expand and collapse the rhythmic pocket around Casal and MacDougall, who pass melodies back and forth in an elaborate game of musical tag as they take turns adding color and shade from a seemingly endless kaleidoscope of cosmic sounds. A self-coined 'metaphor for the heart', The Dark Red Seed represents a direct reference to life - and death - itself. The duo, which also includes King Dude engineer Shawn Flemming, will now it's debut album, Becomes Awake. The full-length follow-up to the group's 2017 debut EP, Stands with Death, a dark, dusty discourse on the departure and ultimate dissolution of life, Becomes Awake symbolizes a movement from darkness into light; finding balance through acceptance of one's own qualities of both the light and the dark; the good and the bad.
