Civic - Chrome Dipped - VINYL LP

On Halfway to Eighty, riff-heavy anthems like InchHelping HandInch are courtesy of Wachtel, while art-rock thrashers like InchSlackerInch are Shaheen's handiwork, and smirking punk numbers like InchFalse EquivalentInch are Michicoff's. (InchWhat good can it bring now? / We're barely evolvedInch sings Michicoff on that last song, a squall of guitars swirling around his trembling tenor.) When you keep an ear out for them, you can hear each distinct personality in the songs, but taken as a whole, it's yet another primo Panthers set of post-Cramps, post-DEVO outsider rock and roll. Taken at full, Halfway to Eighty is an embrace of much more than just a band. It's a statement of dedication to the calling of music - to sticking with making art as long as you want to, age be damned.1. Helping Hand2. Slacker3. Not Your Business 4. Take Back Time 5. Limited white vinyl LP pressing. 2021 debut album from the Melbourne-based garage-rock five-piece. Driving and tenacious, but never losing sight of a good hook and how to use it - Civic don't tip-toe around the edges but obliterate them with primal intensity. Finding a home somewhere between 80's glam rock and Australia's 70's greats, they break the pieces of influence before crafting them into their own beast on Future Forecast. The album comes as a follow-up to their highly sought-after New Vietnam EP.

The Melbourne-based five-piece Civic return with their visceral new sophomore album 'Taken By Force' - aptly described by the band as Inch1984 meets Endless Summer.Inch Civic have reimagined the reckless intensity of proto-punk for an era of endless uncertainty and have become one of the most exhilarating bands to emerge from the Melbourne-scene in recent years. 'Taken By Force' was produced by Radio Birdman frontman Rob Younger and mixed/mastered by Mike Young (Eddy Current, Total Control).
