Cloth - Pink Silence - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Delivering angular alt-rock cut through with deep electronic grooves, Cloth are Scottish based twin sibling duo Rachael and Paul Swinton.   Influenced by Cocteau Twins & The XX, Cloth began performing together in 2018. Following supporting Arab Strap at sell-out Glasgow shows, Cloth signed to Mogwai's, Rock Action Records (The Twilight Sad, bdrmm).  'Secret Measure' finds Cloth expanding their creative circle, turning their tried-and-tested insular working process on it's head by collaborating with producer Ali Chant (Yard Act, Katy J Pearson).1. Welcome to the beautifully strange world of Colourmusic, where concept albums have nothing to do with structured narratives or loosely-linked lyrics. It's more like a musical wall that must be climbed, whether that means shunning acoustic guitars or modeling some songs' rhythm section after metronomic S*x acts. Which isn't as titillating as it sounds. The way lead singer Ryan Hendrix sees it, InchWe wanted to focus on human sexuality and reproduction. Not in terms of turning people on; from a point of view of fear and anxiety, and how it's the prominent decision-making force in many people's lives. Album Tracks 1. Beard 2. Jill & Jack (A Duet) 3.
