  Science Fiction, Comedy, a feel good story!

  I was pleased to find this movie at such a reasonable price, and because I enjoyed it many years ago I decided to add it to my movie collection! The Director Ron Howard has produced several excellent films over the years, and this was one of his first hit movies. The movie features many veteran actors, and they portray Senior citizens struggling with the set backs of growing old in a modern world. Meanwhile, a group of visitors from a distant Galaxy (cleverly disguised as Earthlings) descends upon their world bringing a fountain of youth that stirs emotions they have not felt in many years! Things get out of control! Science Fiction mixed with Comedy!

  Very Touching Story

  'Cocoon' is an exceptional film that will hit you in the heart. It's presented here beautifully on this disc, and offers a really good bonus commentary by director Ron Howard. Anamorphic Widescreen and full-screen viewing options. Highly recommended, as is the sequel.

  Cocoon the way it was meant to be seen

  The video is not steller, so don't expect a transfer likened to that of modern films such as Terminator Salvation. But this is a "film" and was shot as such, which is part of the charm. There is some grain, but just the right amount and detail is very nice. Colors do pop more and will please those who loved this film growing up to see it this way.
