About this product
This vinyl reissue is the only album released in 1981 by Colored Music, a unit formed by Hashimoto Kazuko and Fujimoto Atsuo, who are also known as support members of YMO. This special Clear Sky Blue edition includes the track 'Giant Bird, ' which was recorded at the time the album was produced but was unreleased until the CD reissue in 2018. The new wave sound, a crossover of earthy rock rhythms and minimalist sounds, is still striking today. Grinderman - InchGrindermanInch [Eco-Vinyl LP] Grinderman came to be when Nick Cave was writing material in 2005 for Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds' album Abattoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus. Teaming up with band members Martyn Casey (bass), Warren Ellis (violin, guitar) and Jim Sclavunos (drums), the group went into a London studio in 2006 and began a marathon session of writing material aiming to recreate the more raw, primal sound like that of Cave's celebrated post-punk project The Birthday Party. The following April, they took the cream of these new songs and recorded an album with producer Nick Launay. Released in March 2007, their self-titled debut album was universally acclaimed by critics and features the singles InchNo Pussy BluesInch and InchGet It On.Inch In December 2011, Cave announced the band's breakup at a music festival in Australia. Grinderman is available on black eco-vinyl. EXPLICIT

Following his debut EP tttwoface from the Belgian tag URBAN WAVES last year, Tokyo based electronic musician Yanaco has defined their sound, focusing their wide range of influences into what is no doubt one of the finest ambient albums to come out of Japan in recent years. Samples, programmed electronics, and synth pads are layered with care and precision to create an ineffable serenity that calls to mind the works of both Hiroshi Yoshimura and Aphex Twin, while still being distinctly Yanaco. Look no further than opening track InchColorsInch, with it's rich production and downtempo beats, to see what Yanaco does best. The beats and relaxed vibe are reminiscent of the best electronic music to come out of the 90's, during the golden age of ambient house. Yet the opportunity provided by a full length album sees Yanaco stretch out into other forms of ambient music, such as on InchKidou (Orbit)Inch, which takes inspiration from new age music with it's use of harp and strings; or InchDawnInch, in which a clarinet and saxophone play lines that could have been taken from a track over a chorus of gently looping electronics and warm synth pads. You can even hear traces of the ever-popular InchLo-Fi Hip-Hop beatsInch in the slinky guitar tone of InchWhenInch. Despite the broad range of influences, these 12 tracks flow seamlessly into each other, achieving a level of cohesion that few musical projects ever reach. All you need to do is put down your needle, close your eyes, and you'll find yourself in ambient analog bliss.
