About this product
Limited blue vinyl LP pressing. 2018 . Named for an Italian musical direction meaning Inchwith spirit,Inch Con Brio is a San Francisco Bay Area band that plays soul, psych-rock and R&B as fresh and freethinking as the place they call home. With charismatic singer Ziek McCarter bringing Inchthe dance moves, splits and all, of James BrownInch (KQED) and a band that Inchcomes across like a party punk version of Sly and the Family StoneInch (Consequence of Sound), Con Brio is known to convert anyone who sees their electric live show. Founded in 2013 by veteran players with vastly different musical backgrounds, the band quickly became a favorite up and down the West Coast, then across the U.S., and then overseas in places like Japan and the Netherlands. Explorer both builds on the success of Paradise and serves as a travelogue of sorts - a reflection on the two years of nearly nonstop touring that followed their first record's success. Having proved themselves on an international stage, Con Brio breaks new ground on Explorer, expanding beyond raw energy and retro sounds toward a more contemporary, layered production style, all delivered with road-tested confidence. Ultimately, Explorer is a leap for Con Brio in more ways than one. It's a big record, with plenty of joy, a few growing pains, and more questions than answers. Album Tracks 1. Saddle Up 2. Too Lit 2 Quit 3. I Wanna 4. Texas Summers 5. Body Language 6. Heart Shaped Box 7. Royal Rage 8. Illuminate 9. United State of Mind 10. High Spirits 11. Feels Good

Finnish fuzz-rock outfit Craneium are set to their third studio full-length InchUnknown HeightsInch in Autumn 2021. Blending dreamy, psychedelic soundscapes with crushingly heavy riffs and thick layers of fuzz, the new album offers a varied and dynamic take on desert rock. InchUnknown HeightsInch follows Craneium's 2016 debut InchExplore the VoidInch and 2018 sophomore InchThe Narrow LineInch, both released on US based Ripple music. Further exploring the dreamlike yet massive soundscapes presented on previous albums, InchUnknown HeightsInch showcases Craneium's experimental and colorful characteristics, more than ever before. Perfectly depicted by Roger Mattos's cover artwork. InchWe've been working towards this for the last 2-3 years or so, we finally feel that we have captured the music in a way that we haven't before. Our songwriting is better, the recording is better and we've had more time than before to really make this one our best so far! The contrast of clean and dreamy with huge heavy choruses has become somewhat of a Craneium trademark, but we really think these songs has something for all kinds of listeners, we'd dare to say that we are not your everyday stoner rock band.Inch InchUnknown HeightsInch contains 6 tracks, taking the listener on a mind-bending journey from thundering fuzz-rock riffs to oriental- influenced psychedelic sections. The album was recorded in VR Studio in Turku, Finland in 2020. Beautifully mixed and mastered by Joona Hassinen (Studio Underjord). InchUnknown HeightsInch. Album Tracks 1. A Secret Garden 2. Somber Aeons 3. Weight to Carry 4. Shine Again 5. The Devil Drives 6. Unknown Heights
Orison is a sound prayer and meditation in seven parts. Composer Chris Campbell originally conceived Orison as a spatial piece within a Inchsacred spaceInch. He envisioned presenting it in a church or a Zen center with performers, visual media, and planes of sound inhabiting different zones or rooms throughout the space. This album is the linear, Inchconcert versionInch of that original conception, recorded with a large ensemble. The music is phantasmagoric, moving and shifting fluidly from one part to the next. It's timbres and lines dovetail and transform, moving through time into new forms, but always retaining some essence of their previous identity as they blossom into the next textural idea or sonic image. For Campbell, creating this music has been a way to process the world around him, things rising up and falling away. It's been a way to bear witness to cycles and events, both macro and intimate. Chris Campbell is a collaborator, composer, producer, and the Director of Recordings at innova recordings/ACF. Praised as Inchheady, possessing elements of post-Minimalism, avant-garde rock, jazz and global fusion styles that mingle and merge with dreamlike mutabilityInch...(The New York Times) and Incha surreal (or super-real?) vortex...(Gramophone), Campbell's music is focused on ritual and sonic texture, and how sound can transform space. In addition to his own music, Campbell has either produced or worked directly on the promotion and distribution of over 300 projects and albums (2 of them Grammy winners).
Extremely limited vinyl LP pressing including digital download. Soft Science, from Sacramento, California, creates a unique form of Dream Pop, inspired by '90s Shoegaze and '60s British Pop. The group is comprised of Katie Haley (Holiday Flyer), and twin brothers Ross and Matt Levine (Welt, the Tank), and bass player Mason DeMusey (Forever Goldrush). in 2011, Soft Science released their debut album, High and Lows. Pop Matters said in it's review that the band 'has the potential to become one of the great Left Coast Power Pop bands.' Detour expands on ideas developed in their previous venture creating Pop music with a sonic edge. Although the band never steers too far from it's core Pop sensibilities, Detour evokes a somewhat darker mood musically than Soft Science's previous work. Soft Science band members have a shared love of classic bands such as, Ride, the Jesus And Mary Chain, and newer artists such as Beach House and Frankie Rose, elements of which are present in their music.
