Concrete Caveman - Feral - VINYL LP

Limited Loser Edition on shiny gray matter colored vinyl.. The world is filling up with trash. Humanity remains addicted to pollution. People are downing horse dewormer because some goober on television told them it cured COVID. The apocalypse is stupider than anyone could've predicted.Fortunately, the absurdities of modern life have always been prime subject matter for Seattle-based foursome Mudhoney, and the band take aim at all of them with typical barbed humor and muck-encrusted riffs on on 11th studio album, Plastic Eternity, which was recorded over nine days at Crackle & Pop! In Seattle with longtime producer Johnny Sangster. From taking on climate change from the perspective of the climate if the climate tried to play guitar like Jimi Hendrix (InchCry Me An Atmospheric RiverInch) to a driving rock and roll song about taking drugs meant for livestock (InchHere Comes the FloodInch) to a classic punk attack on treating humans like livestock (InchHuman Stock CapitalInch), Plastic Eternity is a run through all the proto-genres of guitar rock with a keen eye on the inanities of the world in the 2020's. It also contains a genuine love song in closing track InchLittle Dogs,Inch an ode to the simple joys of hanging out with tiny canines.Mudhoney (vocalist Mark Arm, guitarist Steve Turner, bassist Guy Maddison, and drummer Dan Peters) remain the ur underground group, their gnarly primordial punk stew and Arm's sharply funny lyrics as potent a combination as they've been since the band's formation in the late 1980s. When asked why they continue making records nearly four decades after forming, Arm's answer is simple.InchWe like each other and we like being in a band together,Inch says Arm. InchSome people have poker night or whatever the F**k, and they have the excuse to get together with their friends. For us, this [band] is that. This is what we do.Inch

High Roller Records, ltd 350, 425 gsm heavy cardboard cover, insert; Epic doom metal masters Lord Vigo from Germany will issue their sixth full-length album in May 2025 on High Roller Records. Following the highly-regarded »Danse de Noir« (2020) and »We Shall Overcome« (2022), which formed part one and part two of a trilogy, the new work »Walk The Shadows« is not connected to this concept. Inch»Walk The Shadows« stands on it's own and is not part of the trilogyInch, explains drummer, vocalist and keyboard player Vinz Clortho. InchThere is no coherent concept this time around, not a specific plot. These are all individual songs. It was quite a change for us after two very elaborate concept albums, and it was fun.Inch Songs like InchThrough A Glass DarklyInch, InchServant Of The DarkInch or InchThe Triumph Of The Killing HeartInch evoke some sort of Gothic Horror feel. If you delve into »Walk The Shadows«, you will find a pretty eclectic mix of epic metal, gothic rock and post-punk, with traces of Sisters Of Mercy, Fields Of The Nephilim and even The Cure. InchI would agreeInch, says Vinz Clortho. InchThe album combines several different styles to create something entirely new. My roots are in classic metal which means that the songs on the new album, which are definitely leaning in a dark rock direction, have taken a life on it's own. I am not aware of a single album even vaguely sounding like »Walk The Shadows«. I just don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.Inch Inch'Walk The Shadows' is going to be the leading single, Inch continues Vinz. InchWe are also shooting a video for that. Apart from that, every song stands on it's own and therefore it's hard to single out specific tracks. Obviously, with a playing time of twelve minutes 'El Hakim' is not only the longest track on the album but also the most atmospheric. That's another favourite of mine.Inch InchSty

Limited purple colored vinyl LP pressing. Tombs is a boundary-pushing metal band originally from Brooklyn, New York, now based out of NJ, founded by guitarist and vocalist Mike Hill. Originally rooted in black metal, Tombs quickly carved out a sound of their own, blending elements of gothic rock, death rock, thrash, and avant-garde noise. The band's evolution is a testament to Hill's tireless creative vision and refusal to be boxed into a single genre. Since their 2009 debut Winter Hours and 2011's Path of Totality-named Decibel magazine's Album of the Year-Tombs has continually redefined themselves. With each , they've added new textures, including keyboards, layered guitars, and ambient soundscapes, all while maintaining a core of emotional intensity and urban grit drawn from their New York roots. Their discography reflects constant growth from the brutal Savage Gold to the experimental All Empires Fall, and finally the expansive Under Sullen Skies, which was released in 2020 during the pandemic lockdown. This latest record saw a fully collaborative lineup featuring members of Kalopsia and guest appearances from artists across the metal and esoteric world, creating a dense, moody, and fiercely personal album. Whether self-releasing music or working with labels like Relapse, Metal Blade, or Season of Mist, Tombs remains fiercely independent. Their sound is ever-evolving, driven by a shared commitment to artistic authenticity, darkness, and sonic depth. In an uncertain world, Tombs continues to chart it's own course-relentless, raw, and unapologetically their own.
