Q: Will this vacuum work well on carpeted areas?
A: It depends on the carpet. Short area rugs, absolutely. Tall, thick, shag carpets, no chance.
A: No. I have hardwoods and no scratches although I only use it for light pickups.
Q: Would like to know what type of rechargeable batteries this vacuum uses, & are they easy to replace?
A: It has NiCads. My guess is they will last a year or two, then it gets tossed (can't replace the batteries). You can probably take it apart and DIY the swap, but by that time I'll be ready for a new model.
A: Purchased mine yesterday too and am having the same issue with light blinking after overnight charging. Since it's not just my vac, I'm going to take it on a test drive and see how long she lasts.
Q: Can I order replacement parts? The charging station broke within a few months of use.

Q: Which bags do I buy for this vacuum??
A: It doesnt use a bag, there is a filter that you can rinse and dry out if needed but I have had mine for a couple of months and I havent had to do that yet.
Q: Does the rotating brush scratch hardwood/laminate floors? Many thanks and much appreciated.
A: I have been using this for some time on Hardwood/Laminate floors and the rotating brush does not scratch them.
