I needed a wired headset for a gaming event, nothing special but it had to be wired with a 3.5mm jack and required no additional software to work. I saw that Corsair had the new HS35 v3 Wired Gaming Headset available, which fit my need perfectly and being Corsair, I knew it would be a good choice. Pros: - Simple 3.5mm combo connection is compatible with many platforms and devices. - Weighs only 250 grams. - Speakers and Microphone are clear and crisp. Cons: - Microphone is not detachable. - Microphone is very sensitive, picking up background sounds and music. Out of the Box: Corsair makes it simple, including just the Corsair HS35 v3 headset in the box and nothing else. The wired 3.5mm combo cable has an attached rubberized cable tie, which is helpful in keeping the cable stored away neatly. Since the headset can connect via the 3.5mm jack, it is compatible across many platforms and devices. At only 8.75 Oz (250g) the headset is lightweight and comfortable for longer gaming sessions. Build & Feel: I noticed right away that the microphone boom does not detach, which is a downside as if the microphone breaks, then the whole headset would need to be replaced. Additionally, the microphone doesn’t include a pop-filter, which could result in harsher sounds and potential damage to the microphone. I can understand the design choice to reduce cost, but in both cases, it can result in having to replace the headset sooner. Most of the headset’s frame is made of a black plastic that is flexible on the headband and solid on the earcups. I usually do not like the feel or finish on the plastic parts of devices, but Corsair made a good choice in the texture they applied to the plastic, it provides a matte finish with a subtle texture. This results in the plastic not feeling cheap or brittle, the opposite in fact as the plastic is flexible and solid. I was pleasantly surprised that the ear cushions were removeable for easier cleaning or replacement. The ear cushions are made of a mesh fabric cover with a higher density foam inside, which provide a soft comfortable fit while also allowing for airflow to prevent sweating. Additionally, the adjustable stretch headband provides a comfortable way to adjust the fit and placement of the headset. It is very easy to adjust, just pull off from the side of the headset and adjust to the next slot and push back on. Both sides have 3 slots for adjustments. When properly fit, the headset doesn’t move or slide around even when lightly shaking your head. The headset stays in place while not applying too much pressure to the head, it is very comfortable. Corsair include a push-to-mute button and volume scroll wheel conveniently on the bottom of the left earcup, near the wire to connection. I found both were in a natural place for my hand to find them, even in the middle of a tough game. Audio: The audio quality was surprisingly well-balanced, though flatter than I prefer but was clear and crisp across a full range. There were no distortions or breaks in the sound. I was mainly using the headset for playing multiplayer shooter games, primarily hearing in-game sounds like gunfire and footsteps or communicating with teammates via voice chat. The Corsair HS35 v3 performed perfectly in doing so. Even for listening to music, I was surprised how well it sounded without any EQ adjustments, it was full and clear. Microphone: The microphone was clearly a main focus for Corsair with the HS35 v3, voice was super clean and clear. Even whispers were registered with clarity. Which is why I wish a slide on pop-filter was included, as not only were the harsher sounds of P/B/T/K picked up on full blast but sounds from the speakers could be heard in the background. This wasn’t a huge issue for me, as I was only listening to music between games, but if you liked listening to music during a game, your teammates will likely be able to hear it too. Conclusion: If you need a simple gaming headset for playing games with your friends, then the Corsair HS35 v3 is a solid choice at an affordable price. The HS35 v3 is lightweight and super comfortable. With a 3.5mm jack that allows compatibility across most gaming systems and devices. The speakers and microphone are crisp and clear, with zero distortions. In fact, the microphone might pick up just a little too much, but never enough to overpower your voice. Overall, I was very impressed, and will be handing on to the Corsair HS35 v3 for future events!

I’ve had this set of gaming headphones for a couple of days now and it’s hard to knock these. They are lightweight, really comfortable and sound good for what they are. The padding on the earcups are very comfortable and never really fatigue my ears. The headband is also quite comfortable and doesn’t press down on my head or put too much pressure on my ears and temples I have a fairly large head and these fit great. The headband is adjustable so they should fit most people. The microphone is loud and clear and its position isn’t distracting or cumbersome. You can also bend the microphone boom and put it closer to your mouth if you feel like you need to. This headset is wired and will work with any pc, console or handheld gaming device with a 3.5mm aux port. Sound quality is decent, not the best I’ve heard but certainly not bad at all. They get just loud enough to be immersive. You can easily adjust the volume with the rocker on the left ear cup. I would say the headphones sound quite balanced. The bass response is a little “digital sounding”. Not sure how else to describe it, but they thud well in shooting and action games. Mids are clear and trebles are crispy. It’s hard to complain about anything with these headphones. They don’t amaze me but they sound good enough to recommend to most people and at the end of the day all you really need is a pair of good quality headphones with a clear and loud microphone and this headset checks off all the good things to look for. If you want wired headphones, these are hard to beat.

Super light super comfy wired headphones. Literally plug it in and your are all set. No need for wireless setup. No lost dongle. No need for any updates. Can function anywhere and anytime. I used on Nintendo switch 1 and on PC and it worked all fine. Surround sound is good. Mic use is great. No issues. Sound quality is less than Atmos but is still good enough for simple gaming and on the go type of use. Also for the simplicity it's all good. Because it is super light and comfy I was able to play and not have ear fatigue or a headache from it being too tight on my head. Cushions are light and breathable. Boom is very bendy and can easily be manipulated to fit your face. Color is simple. Nice flat black. So long duration use is good in my eyes and no battery to worry about is also a plus if you don't want to worry about battery life. No carrying case but for simple headphones no need. These can be your beat up ones and not worry too much. Overall great headphones and sound for simple aired headphones.

I found the Corsair over the ear headset very comfortable to wear. Especially when worn for a few hours of game play or serious TEAMS meetings. The omni-directional microphone picked up my voice without the distraction of the noises around me very clearly. The features I like are the soft fabric and foam ear muffs. The easy to position left side omni-directional microphone. A standard 3.5mm stereo mic jack (plug). A headband that holds securely to my head but not so hard as to crush my ears or noggin. There is an adjustable inner cloth strap for better fit depending on your head size and ear position. Corsair also designed the headset with a swivel joint for smooth operation using what I guess to be a yellow Teflon washer. It is also very lightweight as there is really no battery or electronics to weigh it down. The sound quality from the stereo speakers are clear, deep bass when you want and lifelike. So to for the output of the microphone. Both muffs have the Corsair SHIP logo embbossed in each muffs hard shell. The headband also touts the CORSAIR name. It even looks good when I wear them.

Overall this is a comfortable headset to wear but definitely is in the budget friendly option. It does not weigh a lot which oftentimes for me in comparison to the other gaming headsets that I own relays to lower quality or more inexpensive parts. Sound quality is good, highs or crisps and they're actually is a little bit of Base to it but it is not as loud as most of my other wireless headsets. I have tinkered with the settings in my Xbox dashboard and when having it plugged into my controller it just isn't as loud as I would like it to be in most cases. I can hear footsteps and all the sound effects are good for the games I have played but there are times I wish it was a little bit louder. Pros - Lightweight - Adjustable head strap - Adjustable mic that can be muted Cons - Not as loud as I like for my gaming headsets to be - Lighter or cheap feeling compare to other gaming headsets Overall as far as gaming headsets go this is a good budget-friendly option from a name brand company. It definitely isn't as high quality as some of the other ones from Corsair or Logitech but but has good clear audio quality and is comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

This is an excellent entry level wired gaming headset. It’s made of mostly plastics, but the headset feels durable and able to withstand daily use. The microphone’s boom is made of metal, so it is very durable. It’s affordable but it does not sacrifice build quality over price. The headset is comfortable to wear, and the fitting just feels great and very light to wear. The over-ear design provides good sound isolation, though it doesn’t completely block outside noise. There’s a dial to manually adjust the volume and a physical mute button, which I like. I use the headset on my Legion Go 2 and it’s a solid experience. The length of the cable is adjustable thanks to the included cable restrainer. So, I can use the headset with a PC and adjust the length accordingly when I use it with my handheld device. Audio performance for the price is actually great, considering that this is an entry level headset. Playing Crimson Desert and Helldivers 2 on a handheld gaming PC felt engaging. I like how the headset is able to capture the audio complexity of the Greymayne camp in Crimson Desert. The sound of the animals, people working on the camp and the music all blends in with distinctive characteristics of the sound. Default audio performance is more on treble side, and it sounds a bit thin and lacks dynamics to my liking, but I know what to expect with an entry level headset. Overall, it is an excellent entry level wired gaming headset.

For the price point these don't disappoint. You will not be amazed by these headphones in anyway other than they are super lightweight. The speech audio is about the best they do and that's ok as it is. I plugged them in to an old iPod to jam out and was severely disappointed. Same issue with a movie on my laptop. Gaming was ok with them and the sound was decent, I just can't see knocking any stars off due to the price point these sell at. If these were a higher end, higher priced set then my rating would be different. The fit and quality are great, there is a large volume wheel and a mute button. The mic can't be moved much or removed, so they should last longer at that area. These are wired and have no wireless option. I have a pretty big head and had no discomfort issues wearing these for about 4 hours straight. They come packaged nicely and wrapped in a soft cloth. Be mindful these are corded and the mic is not removable, if those are necessities then you might want to go with a higher priced unit from Corsair. I don't mind the mic not being removable since it will last longer and the cord is fine now that I'm used to it. You never have to worry about charging them which is nice n

I normally buy hyperx headsets. This time around I wanted to try a mesh headset to see how it compares for long term wear and comfort. So far I’m a few weeks in and I’m enjoying this. Mic quality is good, mesh ear cups are comfortable, and the volume dial is way better than a slider. Only real downside and this is a personal preference is that I miss either a detachable/flip up mic for when I’m not talking with my friends.

I bought this headset as a gift for my son, and they absolutely love it. For a budget headset, the sound quality is surprisingly crisp, and the microphone picks up their voice clearly during multiplayer games without too much background noise.

I purchased this on the fly for some remote consultations when my normal headset died and they were out of more appropriate telecom headsets. Pro's: Pretty comfortable. Nice build, light, good mic - sounded great to clients. Cons: Extremely bass heavy, no real adjustments for different head sizes. I'm sure these would rip for FPS but they were awful for my needs. Overall, Corsair has never really let me down in the past and I can't fault them on a headset being used outside of it's intended purpose. Don't expect studio quality audio from these, but if you need something budget friendly and comfortable enough to wear, I'd say give it a shot.

Having used several devices across Corsair’s headset product lineup, I have come to expect solid construction, comfortable materials, and good audio quality. The HS35 v3 takes a much simpler approach than many gaming headsets, stripping away wireless connectivity, software configuration, lighting effects, and other premium features in favor of a lightweight headset that simply plugs in and works. At first glance, the floating headband looks a little silly and feels almost too flimsy to be functional. In practice, it works surprisingly well. The headset fits comfortably over my large head and ears, and the lighter weight is a huge improvement compared with many of the more elaborate gaming headsets I have used. After wearing it for an extended gaming session, I did not experience the same feeling of a heavy headset pulling down on the top of my skull. The lightweight construction naturally means that the HS35 v3 does not feel as substantial as some of the more expensive products in Corsair’s lineup. I have only been using the headset for a few days, so I am not going to make any long-term claims about durability. That said, nothing about it makes me worried that it is going to fall apart within the next year. It feels appropriate for the price point and sturdy enough for normal daily use. Audio quality is crisp and clear, but this is by no means an immersive audio experience. It is straightforward stereo sound, and that is perfectly acceptable for most casual gamers. The best thing this head set has going for it is its comfort and lightweight. Headsets have really come a long way in terms of comfort and this headset meets that bar well. I love the elastic band that goes over the top of the head to provide extra stability and distance from the rigid plastic frame. Adjustability was good, but the comfort lags for longer sessions if you have glasses. Despite the softness of the ear cups, adding a metal or hard plastic frame between it and your head will still have you taking it off and massaging your temples after a couple hours. Sound fidelity is extremely good. Without being too tinny or too muffled, video game soundtracks come through clearly and other complex sound effects shine with individual notes. Music also sounds great and while not too muffled, it does mute some of the sounds of the room with the over ear design. There is no noise canceling, but it still does a good job of isolating what you're listening to. There is an easily accessible mute button and volume control on the headset itself. Knocking a star off for the boom mic. We know boom mics are rough, especially by themselves. This one could use a wind muff for the pops and exhales that come with speaking normally. Thankfully there is software for this kind of thing and Discord especially does great at making your voice coming through this sound much more crisp and clear. It also only comes from the left side of your face and isn't adjustable which, as a right hander, I prefer to have it on the right.

I think the Corsair HS35 v3 is an amazing value for a wired headset. This isn't a flashy headset, and there's no RGB or USB DAC included or anything like that. It's just a good sounding headset with a nice long cord to reach your gaming PC. I've had a few wired headsets recently which required an extension to reach the headphone jack on my PC tower, so having one that's designed with PC gamers in mind makes a real difference to me. It also works great with my Switch. In terms of comfort, sound, and build quality, the HS35 v3 is punching above its price class. it's a pretty compact headset that doesn't feel huge on your head, and is lightweight as a result. Sound quality is very good for a closed back headset, especially considering the MSRP. I think maybe we've all been ruined by wireless headsets and forget how good an inexpensive wired headset can sound. Since this is a pretty basic headset, there aren't really any software frills to speak of. It doesn't include Dolby Atmos or DTS:X Headphone. On the plus side, it "just works" when you plug it in - no extra configuration necessary. Even though it doesn't include a license for Atmos or DTS:X, it does work just fine with those if you have a license already, or gaming in Overwatch which includes Atmos for headphones. Overall, this gets two thumbs up from me and I'm sure it will get a lot of use in a house with young boys and consoles and PCs to game on.

I'm happy. Why am I happy? Because he Corsair HS35 v3 is a headset that works with all my devices on a plug and play basis because it has a 3.5mm standard audio plug. The sound is very good, the omnichannel microphone is solid, and the HS35 v3 is super light weight. What's in the box is straight forward, it's the HS35 v3 headset. There's no dongles, no need to download drivers, you just plug n go. The HS35 v3 is super lightweight. The headstrap is elastic and can be adjusted (rubber lugs), the ear cups are foam, which I am a fan of, because my ears sweat less and they are also not prone to the disintegration you get with pleather earcups. Design wise, no RGBs or distractions, other than some neon yellow highlights on the earcup hinge. The only limitation is that the boom mic is fixed and not removable (but there is a mic mute button). You also geta volume control. I have used the HS35 v3 for about a week now, mostly PC gaming but also some Steam Deck and Switch 2 and I'm just very happy. The light weight and 3.5mm audio plug is really the killer feature for me; especially when mobile gaming (Switch/Steam Deck) because I don't need to have Bluetooth being yet another drag on the battery. Audio quality is clear, it's a little lighter (less deep) than I am use to but microphone quality is clear for others. As a spare headset for travel or if you're a casual gamer, you really can't go wrong with the HS35. Overall, very happy and recommended! If the boom mic was removable, I'd give it 5 stars.
