Q: is the cord from the fans 3 or 4 pins? Also where does the controller cord go the motherboard or the battery?

A: Hi Rickybobby, Each SP RGB ELITE fan is equipped with a 4-pin PWM (for fan power and control) and 4-pin RGB (for RGB lighting power and control) connector. The Lighting Node CORE connects to a USB 2.0 header on your motherboard, and a SATA power connector from your PSU. If you require any additional assistance with setup, please refer to this video: (https://youtu.be/EbKDfFrAXl0). Feel free to contact us with any additional questions, we'd be happy to help: support.corsair.com -Albert

Q: All of the pictures I can find of this fan show muted and dull RGB colors, even on this website. Are you able to make the fan colors more vibrant with software like iCue?

A: Colors can be modified and brightened with iCUe. This fan doesn't have a lit outer ring like the LL120 so it does appear more muted. These fans look nice but I wanted the outer ring to light up so I replaced them with the LL120s

Q: Does this work with the NZXT - Kraken 240?

A: Hello, You can put any fans on any cooler for the most part, you'd just have to control with the appropriate controller. -Art

Q: Would these work with B365M DS3H WIFI motherboard?

A: Hi Sophia, The fans would come with a Lighting Node Core, so the motherboard used would be mostly irrelevant unless it was a very, very old motherboard/platform. This shouldn't be an issue with yours. -Art

Q: Does this Fan only work with a corsair pc / pc case or is this compatible for other types of pc's. Also what's the difference between the corsair fan pro and and corsair fan elite.

A: These fans will work with most any case as long as the case fan spaces are the same size as the fans ie 120 mm or140mm. The important question is will your motherboard and power supply support the fans. The major differences between the elite and pro fans are the rpms (the elite have a higher rpm range), the power connections (elite is 4 pin and pro 3 pin) and the elite fans (which I have installed) support PWM control and the pro do not (according to the specs provided by the Corsair website).

Q: Is the fan header a 3 pin or 4 pin please let me know

A: Fan is 4 pin PWM. There is also the rgb cable and header that needs to be plugged into either a commander xt or lighting node core for the rgb to work.
