Q: Can heat sink be removed? Or does it come not installed?
A: Yes the heat sink can be removed. Make sure you touch something metal that’s grounded to discharge ESD. It should largely pull off with little effort. if it gives you trouble, use a razor blade or exactly knife to help. Be gentle as well as the components on the board can be damaged. There will likely be bits left over. Use isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab to remove the remainder.
A: Yes the factory heatsink is too big. I replaced mine with a smaller one and it seem to work fine so far.

Q: Will this work with the ps5 internal ssd slot?
A: This actually kills the posted specs for the PS5, but the heatsink doesn't allow for the cover to be on. So will either leave it off or have to purchase a different heatsink

A: It’s compatible speed wise but the heat sink is to all. I had to buy a separate aftermarket heat sink.
