Creality - K2 Plus Printer and CFS Bundle - Space Gray

I’ve owned and used the **Creality K2 Plus with two CFS units** for a while now, and overall I’m impressed with what the printer is capable of, especially for large and complex multicolor prints. The biggest strength of the K2 Plus for me is its combination of **large build volume, speed, enclosed chamber, and multi-color capability**. I’ve done some long prints with a lot of filament changes, and when everything is dialed in, the print quality is excellent. The large build area is also a major advantage because I can print parts that would either need to be split up or simply wouldn’t fit on many other printers. I also like having the **two CFS units**. Being able to have multiple colors/materials loaded and available makes multicolor printing much more convenient. However, multicolor printing is also where I’ve spent the most time troubleshooting. My biggest frustration has been the **prime tower**. On larger multicolor prints, I’ve had issues with the tower becoming unstable and falling over or getting tall enough that the print head can contact it. I’ve experimented with larger towers, wider brims, Z-hop, different tower structures, flushing volumes, and other slicer settings to improve reliability. Color bleeding has also required some experimentation with flushing volumes. These aren't necessarily hardware failures with the K2 Plus, but they are things you need to understand and tune if you're going to push the printer with complicated multicolor jobs. I’ve used both **Creality Print and OrcaSlicer** with the K2 Plus. Creality Print has the advantage of tighter integration with the printer and CFS, while OrcaSlicer gives me considerably more control over how the print is actually sliced. I've spent a lot of time comparing G-code from the two slicers because seemingly small settings can make a surprisingly large difference in print time and how the printer behaves. One thing I’ve learned is that the K2 Plus is a printer that rewards you for understanding the settings instead of simply accepting the defaults. Things such as **maximum volumetric flow, flushing volumes, prime-tower settings, Z-hop, wall ordering, seam placement, bed temperature, chamber temperature, and support settings** can make a significant difference. I particularly like the heated and enclosed chamber. Being able to control the chamber temperature gives me more options for different materials and large prints, and the overall construction of the machine feels like it was designed for considerably more than just small PLA projects. There have definitely been frustrations, and I wouldn't say the entire experience has been completely plug-and-play. The CFS and prime-tower side of multicolor printing could be more refined, and some settings take experimentation to get right. At the same time, I've been able to troubleshoot most of the problems rather than finding fundamental limitations with the printer itself. Overall, **I would recommend the Creality K2 Plus**, particularly to someone who wants a large-format enclosed printer and is interested in multicolor printing. It's capable of producing some very impressive prints, but if you're going to take full advantage of everything it can do, expect to spend some time learning and fine-tuning it. **My rating: 4 out of 5 stars.** The hardware and capabilities are excellent. Most of the points I would take away are for the additional tuning and troubleshooting that can come with complicated CFS/multicolor prints. With some improvements to the multicolor workflow and prime-tower reliability, it would be very close to a 5-star printer for me.

Awesome 3D printer. Love both wireless and wired ethernet connection options (I prefer wired into my LAN for a guaranteed stable connection). The 350 mm ³ internal print space gives me many file options.
