The Montreal based dance collective known as the Crescent Street Hustlers are on a mission to revive and modernize the Canadian disco scene, celebrating the great dance music that thrived in that city primarily in the late 1970s, at the height of the global disco explosion. Signed to the recently revived Afro Wax Records imprint - the tag that turned the world on to the sounds of speed garage and progressive house music, the Hustlers have been hard at work - making magic happen in the studio and continually perfecting their craft. Focusing on the original artists that made the Montreal scene sizzle, CSH have drawn on some of the biggest hits of the era - from the esoteric sounds of The Great Disco Bouzouki Band (represented by their hit InchDisco BouzoukiInch), to the sound of Canada's most prolific disco producers, the great Tony Green and his projects such as the groups Colorblind (InchKalei-DiscoInch), Metal Weeds (InchSunshine LoveInch) and Fusion (InchSais-Tu Pourquoi'), the funky disco sounds of Sunshine Combo (InchSweet CorazonInch), and the sophisticated disco experiments of the late revered Canadian pianist, composer, conductor and arranger André Gagnon (InchSurpriseInch). Certainly, one of the most ambitious projects of this year or any other in the dance music world, the Crescent Street Hustlers deliver the goods in a way that not only pays tribute to the original Montreal scene but succeeds in making it appealing for a whole new generation of listeners.

The Crescent Street Hustlers are a Montreal based dance collective on a mission to modernize and revive the Canadian disco scene, celebrating the great dance music that thrived in that city primarily in the late 1970s, at the height of the global disco explosion. One of Canada's most prolific disco producers, the Montréal based songwriter, record company executive and producer Tony Green was at the forefront of the Canadian disco scene, operating under a number of aliases - one of which was the group known as Colorblind, who scored a hit with the track InchKalei-DiscoInch in 1977. On their latest single, Crescent Street Hustlers pay tribute with their own version of the classic track, while still holding true to it's original essence with an updated sound aimed at both the modern dance music fan and the traditionalists, featuring 3 exclusive mixes including an extended mix plus a bonus stripped-down element mix to keep things interesting.
