Crime 101 - DVD

Noted though prickly horror writer Ohm Bauman (Adam Scott) sojourned to rural Ireland so he could stay at the inn where his parents honeymooned, and leave their ashes nearby. When the friendly barmaid (Florence Ordesh) goes missing-to the seeming indifference of most of the locals-Ohm's quest for answers would lead to the hotel's long-shuttered and legendarily haunted honeymoon suite. Chilling effort from Damian McCarthy (InchOddityInch) co-stars David Wilmot, Peter Coonan, Austin Amelio. 107 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

Entomologist Susan Tyler (Mira Sorvino) was hailed as a heroine for rescuing Manhattan from a roach-borne pandemic via genetic engineering. Perhaps the applause should have been held, because rather than dying out, her designer creatures are continuing to evolve... and the largest are making hapless subway workers their prey. Guillermo Del Toro's creepy sci-fi chiller also stars Jeremy Northam, Josh Brolin, Charles S. Dutton, Giancarlo Giannini. Theatrical version; 105 min./Director's cut; 111 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtracks English DTS 5.1, DTS Lossless stereo; Subtitles English; audio commentary by Del Toro, others; featurettes; deleted scenes; storyboards; gag reel; theatrical trailer; more. Three-disc set.
