I try SSDs frequently. This SSD has some great reviews which piqued my curiosity. But the caveat is, I'm using it on a PCI 4.0 MB. So how fast is it? From a user perception view it's fast! Booting Windows, shutting down, launching games, apps, etc. But here is something the reviews I read did not cover: "Momentum Cache". It's a ram-based SSD cache developed by Crucial. This brings me back to the prior Samsung SSD days. They offered a ram cache in their magician packages back then. I enabled Crucial's. I seriously doubt this SSD is getting 716 MB/s at RND Q1 but everything helps towards that user experience perception. It's fast!

I installed this on a new, up to date Asus DDR5, PCIe 5 motherboard with the Ryzen 7900X cpu. The system is very fast. This drive does not disappoint, and I'm very happy with the overall system performance. I dont game, so I can not comment on that. But new "AI" enhanced photediting apps run very quickly. It's expensive though.

Ive been wanting a fast drive and when I bought this, I had high expectations. And so they blew my expectations and my PC runs amazing on this drive, as it downloads and uploads data and games in seconds.

Its real fast its a bit expensive right now eventually it will come down when gen5 start coming up everywhere but if you have the money will recommend only if you have a gen 5 motherboard

For benchmarking, this SSD soars. The speeds rock. But the real world benefits of it have yet to manifest with casual use. Primarily gaming. There’s nothing out that really utilizes the speeds you’ll be paying a hefty premium for. If you know you can use it, it’s fantastic. But if you’re not a power user. Gen 4 M.2s are the way to go

Crucial is a reliable name brand and this new Gen5 tech is ultra fast. I use this drive from 1 specific game that demands high speed storage, and I am not disappointed. Gen5 speed is amazing. Too early for competition or vast availability so prices are terrible.

So far that I’ve had it, it works. Honestly can’t be sure how much faster it is than a gen4 SSD because my computer is already overbuilt. Everything opens up instantly and feels so 1:1 like my computer is an extension of my soul. I can feel myself entering hyperspeed every time I boot up my PC. But seriously, I have a RYZEN 7950x3d and fast 6000mhz ram so everything feels instant like I’m on windows xp.

First time using a Crucial drive. For the size and speed, the price was good. Using as main drive for a new build, no problems setting up in BIOS. Motherboard is ASRock Taichi. Boot speed is what you expect for NVME drive.

After a quick NVME driver update from the website, this storage rips. 12k MB/s read speeds and ~11.5k MB/s writes. Essential for video editing or data management that requires large transfers of files at a moments notice.

Blazing fast and reliable everything needed out of a nvme storage device.

Ive had this M.2 drive for about 6 months now, and I regret nothing. It is so insanely fast it makes my 4.0 M.2 drives seem slow. You cant go wrong with getting this bad boy.

Notes: - Does not come with screw in case your mobo requires one - 2TB - Gen 5 - PCIE only (not compatible with SATA) - double-sided Pros: - 2TB at a decent price for the market Performs as expected thus far Very fast (Transferring Unreal Engine 5 projects that are 80 GBs is excellent - Cloned OS from Gen 4 in a matter of minutes with no problems, for free (software exists still, even if only for a trial period) - temperatures are remaining neutral Cons: - none yet -
