It is very, very fast. The newer T705 is quicker and cooler but I got a 4TB for $200 less than that model and I gave up maybe 2000 MB/s. I am using it with my board FROZR hyeat sink and even with stress testing it I can't get it over 72C so not close to throttling. Honestly, I don't notice a huge diff over my Gen 4 990 Pro. Boot times are very good but the Ryzen 9000 boards don't exactly rip off boots. I used 1TB for Windows and partitioned the rest for programs,

This ssd T700 is awsome. I just built a PC with top of the line components and chose this in 1tb and 4tb. The transfer speed is out if this world. Highly recommended

The T700 will NOT work in an enclosure! They need to specify this! It will mount for ~1 minute before ejecting, despite trying multiple enclosures. I tried two Thunderbolt 5 enclosures and they won't even recognize it. I then tried it on a Gen 4 motherboard that Crucial's site says is compatible, and it doesnt mount. Crucial customer service said "We can't guarantee compatibility, try a Gen 5 PCIe motherboard." YOUR WEBSITE SAYS ITS COMPATIBLE with the TUF Gaming z690 Plus motherboard! If you "cant guarantee" that it will work in an enclosure, you need to state this on the website! It's literally one of two ways people use these. It is less than 90 days old and it doesn't even stay connected for a minute anymore. It's useless to me now.

I was in the market for a fast reliable ssd for my main drive and was introduced to this beast couple weeks ago and had to buy one. I mean the speed is crazy and having 4tb you’ll never run out of space. Now there were some concerns regarding using it as the main drive. I haven’t have any problems yet but it does get a little too hot on my motherboard which I believe slows it down as well. Overall liking it so far and we will see what happens next.

I have this bad boy hooked up to my ASRock X870E Nova Wifi! Its of course on the top Gen 5 nvme slot and has my Windows 11 Pro OS on it! Got my top multiplayer games Battlefield 2042, Black Ops 6, Helldivers 2, Space Marines 2 and its great! On Windows its a bit more zippy with a bit better boot up time. No issues whatsoever! But your milage may vary, as I am a debloating master without breaking windows! Temperature wise, all is great, as I have a Fractal Torrent Compact with its huge fans blowing air inside the case! But whatever case you may have make sure it has good airflow, as lack of air circulation will make all your components run hot, not run properly, and lastly - shorten its lifespan!

The Crucial T700 4TB PCIe Gen 5 NVMe SSD is one of the fastest drives I’ve ever used, and it truly sets a new standard for performance. Speed: With PCIe Gen 5x4 technology, the read and write speeds are simply incredible. Large files transfer in seconds, and load times for games and applications are virtually instant. Capacity: At 4TB, there is more than enough space for a full gaming library, 4K video projects, or massive data workloads. Perfect balance of speed and storage. Performance in Real Use: Video editing, rendering, and heavy multitasking run flawlessly. It keeps up even under the most demanding workloads without slowing down. Thermals: Runs cool with proper heatsink/cooling. Even under stress, performance remains stable without thermal throttling. Future-Proof: With Gen 5 speeds, this SSD is built for the latest motherboards and ensures top-tier performance for years to come. Overall, the Crucial T700 4TB is a beast of an SSD—ideal for enthusiasts, content creators, and professionals who need both speed and storage capacity.

Absolutely blazing fast speeds, was able to pick up 4TB on sale for $300, absolutely satisfied. Had read of overheating problems, my MOBO has a heat sink built in for the PCIe Gen 5 slot and as of yet no issues.

The fastest PCIE Gen 5 ssd on the market as of this review. Love the speed and crucial has been a reliable drive for me in the past. Not worth it if your motherboard doesn’t support PCIE Gen 5.

Super fast SSD… not sure I make the most out of it but there’s only 1 gen5 M.2 slot so you might as fill it with the biggest and fastest drive. New T705 is out.

Fastest chip you’ll ever need with the storage. (Make sure it’s compatible with your laptop. Older ones may not be compatible)

I put two of these in my laptop. Simply put they delivery crazy fast read and write speeds! A juggernaut in terms of data throughput. Expensive but worth it!

This thing is fast and works as expected. Also backwards compatible which is nice if you need more storage now but eventually plan on upgrading your older motherboard

CRUCIAL MAKES THE FASTEST & MOST RELIABLE M.2 NVME SSD STORAGE DRIVES AVAILABLE !!!

Have two Crucial SSDs in the computer I recently built, they perform great. One thing to remember, use the M.2 slot that doesn't steal PCIe lanes from your video card. Consult your motherboard manual to determine the best slot to use.
works fast have no problems with this Internal SSD
