Cuisinart espresso machine let me down

I really wanted to like this machine, but I just cannot pull a good shot. Every time I use it, I always get channeling with a lot of spraying from the basket and water dripping down to the handle. I even bot a WDT and a good tamper with a nice dosing funnel. Still would get the spraying. I would not recommend this machine.
