A: This product uses a SDXC memory and microSD cards to store your footage.
A: No, you need internet for this one. Ones that dont usually are a whole security system, though I'm sure there might be some exceptions. These single ones generally do. Hope this helps.
A: I have 4 dlink cameras with the app on my phone and two different tablets. I am able to access the cameras from any of the devices. You might want to call the technical support people about why it does not work on your phone.
Q: What is the distance without alot of distortion?
A: Maybe 40 feet, then the wifi fails.
A: yes you can listen and talk with it, sound quality is ok not amazing, and the voice sounds weird at first but our cats like it now. It is funny to watch them react when you talk through it, they come right up to the camera.
A: Download dlink app. After you open app on phone download a free code scanner if you dont already have one, then scan the code on the camera you are trying to hook up. Does the app work for you. This is all assuming you have powered it on, have a wifi setup, and have a smart phone or computer at least to run app. I Personally hooked up a decent Netgear extender. Password encrypted it so only cameras could connect to that particular setup( 5 Ghz because that is the least used as well in my scenario) and also so wifi could be used without having access to cameras.

Q: How do you program the camera to record upon motion detection?
A: The software allows you to choose an area(s) of interest to examine for movement. You may not want all areas that the camera sees to trigger a motion alert. You can then set the sensitivity of the alert, so that you don't get false alerts from, for example, the air conditioning kicking on and moving curtains.
