Dacor - Distinctive 2.0 Cu. Ft. Microwave with Sensor Cooking - Stainless Steel

I purchased this microwave to replace the 10 year old Dacor that I had that finally tapped out. I chose it because it looks great, and it fit in the hole that I had in my cabinet for it. On the old one, the touch panel started to warp and some of the buttons didn't work. This new one is quieter, works as expected. The reheat function is great, and the sensor works perfectly. Food comes out perfectly well (warm-ups) which is what I do most. The defrost function is a bit cumbersome, since when you hit defrost, you have to pick from a number which I would have to get from the manual. They have 1 lb ground beef, which I used for 1 lb of bacon. I guess I need to learn how to use it. I was also concerned because the KW power is less than the old one, but it must be more efficient because it works great. Also, the trim kit on the old one fit perfectly, so I saved having to buy a new one, which is usually the case.

Very easy to use. Love the built in sensor reheat. Take the guesswork out of reheating foods. It is sometimes hotter than expected, but that is fine with us.

I replaced my old Dacor microwave with a new one because the microwave is that good. Great performance and durability, my last Dacor lasted 21 years.

This Dacor microwave replaced my 14 year old Frigidaire professional series microwave (model PLMBZ209GCA) with Frigidaire trim kit (MWTRMKT27CA). This Dacor was a perfect fit with the old Frigidaire trim kit which saved me a significant amount of money. Please note that the measurements provided in the website include the feet. I measured the dimensions of the microwave at 14x12.5 excluding the legs. I’ve included pictures for reference. If you have the same trim kit as me, this is the microwave for you. The legs also lined up perfectly with the old trim kit. Overall, I like the function and features of this microwave. My only complaint would be that it seems less “fingerprint resistant” than my old microwave but that’s not a deal breaker for me. The reheat function works amazing. It works well and the display is easy to read.

my home had the last generation model, which died before we moved in. It was custom built to fit the kitchen cabnets. I found that the new model is exactly the same dimension as the previous model. So I bought it. It fits perfectly into my existing frame. As a result it integrate well with the look of my kitchen. Function wise, well, it's a microwave. For that it's super over priced. But for custom built cabnet, it looks expensive.
