Daniel Hutchens - Love Songs for Losers - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Vinyl LP pressing of this EP from the Welsh hard rock band. If Swallowed, Do Not Induce Vomiting is a 12Inch EP by Budgie released in July 1980 on Active Records, a sublabel of RCA. Budgie's music is often described as a cross between the progressive textures of Rush and the heaviness of Black Sabbath. Burke Shelley's vocals have been compared to Geddy Lee due to his similar approach of high-pitched banshee wails (incidentally, Shelley and Lee are also the bass players in their respective power-trio bands). Although Budgie remained quite obscure during their early career, many future stars of hard rock/metal have cited them as an important influence and covered their songs, including Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Van Halen, Melvins, Queens of the Stone Age, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden. Album Tracks 1. Wildfire 2. High School Girls 3. Panzer Division Destroyed 4. Lies of Jim (The E -Type Lover)

2022 . Over the last ten years, The Lone Bellow have cast an indelible spell with their finespun songs of hard truth and redemptive beauty, faithfully delivered in hypnotic three-part harmony. In a departure from their past work with elite producers like Aaron Dessner of The National and eight-time Grammy-winner Dave Cobb, the Nashville-based trio struck out on their own for their album Love Songs for Losers, dreaming up a singular sound encompassing everything from arena-ready rock anthems to the gorgeously sprawling Americana tunes the band refers to as little redneck symphonies. Recorded at the possibly haunted former home of the legendary Roy Orbison, the result is an intimate meditation on the pain and joy and ineffable wonder of being human, at turns profoundly heartbreaking and sublimely transcendent.

Daniel Romano refuses to be confined to narrow classification - in fact, out of necessity he created his own genre Mosey Music. With the of Daniel's fifth solo record Mosey on New West Records, we get a fresh new vista into the mind of the prolific singer-songwriter, the masterful lyricist and the multi-instrumentalist. His most ambitious affair to date, Mosey will undoubtedly catch many by surprise. New sonic territories are mapped, genres are splintered, conventional rules discarded. Imagine Rolling Thunder Revue era Bob Dylan conspiring with Lee Hazlewood, Tom Waits and Peter Green. You'll hear heavy swells of fuzzed out electric guitar, horns, and keys delivered with a fire and fury that demands your close attention. There are even some surprise guest cameos to boot.
