Daniel Leggs - Runaway - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Deluxe 2CD set. Passenger is Mike Rosenberg, the Brighton-born singer/songwriter known for busking his way to the global hit InchLet Her GoInch which topped the charts in 19 countries. Produced by Rosenberg, along with longtime collaborator Chris Vallejo, his tenth studio album Runaway is largely inspired by the North American landscape and geography, both musically and lyrically, and taps into Rosenberg's family roots in New Jersey. This brings a fresh new approach and sound, and speaks to the road going traveler in all of us. He explains that epic opener InchHell Or High Water,Inch Inch... was the first song I wrote for this new record. It's a song about trying to get you're head around the complexities of relationships and why, ultimately, a lot of them don't work out.Inch

Digitally remastered two-fer containing a pair of albums on one CD. Lazarus was a soft rock trio who formed in 1969 formerly known as Shiloh. They were Christian rockers which was relatively new in those days. The members were Bill Hughes on guitar, violin and backing vocals, Carl Keesee on bass and vocals and Gary Dye on keyboards and vocals. Lazarus and A Fools Paradise were the only albums they put out, originally on the Bearsville tag.

Bad Company (Paul Rodgers, Mick Bad Ralphs, Boz Burrell & Simon Kirke) were among the finest exponents of blues-infused hard rock during their prime in the 70s. This double album documenting two shows from 1977 and 1979 respectively. The 1977 gig was recorded at Summit House in Houston, Texas. The title track is a brazenly muscular opener, Paul Rodgers' unimpeachable bluesy holler leading the overdriven tones of former Mott The Hoople guitarist Mick Ralphs. InchMorning SunInch proves they could do slow and soulful. The second show was recorded at The Empire Pool (now Wembley Arena) in London. If InchRock 'N' Roll FantasyInch and InchEvil WindInch groove convincingly, it's the tracks from their self-titled debut that steal both shows. Bad Company remains an atmospheric blues rock masterclass, while InchFeel Like Makin' LoveInch and InchShooting StarInch are what stadium rock shows were invented for.
