Dankworth / Russell / Boyle - Celtic Christmas - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Choral music has always played a significant and central role at Belfast Cathedral, since it's consecration in 1904. This strong choral tradition continues to this day with the recently formed all-adult, fully professional vocal ensemble. This 'new' cathedral choir brings together some of the finest singers in Northern Ireland who lead the liturgy and worship of Belfast Cathedral and are featured here in their debut album for Resonus Classics. Featuring a varied program of seasonal carols from composers including Elizabeth Poston, John Rutter and Philip Ledger, this album celebrates Christmas from Northern Ireland's national cathedral.

Georgia Anne Muldrow releases her new album - a modern soul classic in the making - titled Overload via Flying Lotus's Brainfeeder record tag. Typically working alone, the record flips that dynamic and takes Georgia out of her comfort zone for the first time since Seeds (2003) which was entirely produced by Madlib. Overload bears the fruits of numerous collaborations, most notably with duo Mike & Keys (50 Cent, Nipsey Hussle, Snoop Dogg, G-Eazy) who contribute production to four tracks including the sleek, anthemic title track alongside Khalil (Dr Dre). Elsewhere Dutchman Moods and Manila's Lustbass bring the slo-mo funk heat on InchAerosolInch and InchVital TransformationInch respectively, and Shana Jenson (Muldrow) and Georgia's partner Dudley Perkins crop up on InchYou Can Always Count On MeInch (a cover of the Gap Band classic) and InchThese Are The Things I Like About You.Inch Flying Lotus, Aloe Blacc and Dudley Perkins share Executive Production credits on the album.
