Dave Okumu - I Came From Love - VINYL LP

The album is a tapestry of the Black experience that explores ancestry, the legacy of slavery, what it means to exist in an unjust society, and Dave Okumu's own family history. On his new project I Came From Love, he calls on a star-studded array of guests, including Grace Jones, Eska, Kwabs, Wesley Joseph, Robert Stillman, Anthony Joseph (who just won the TS Elliot prize) and Raven Bush. Rather than solely under his name, Okumu has chosen the moniker 'Dave Okumu & the 7 Generations', which Okumu sees as Inchmy actual ancestors, the ancestors of others, my musical ancestors, and my descendantsInch

Beethoven / Glould,Glenn - Glenn Gould Plays Beethoven Concertos Nos. 2 & 5 1 - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Glenn Gould maintained a very peculiar relationship, a sort of love and hate, with Beethoven's music, which he performed out of any traditional scheme or system. This CD presents two live Gould rarities, the first one being the Piano Concerto No.5 in E-flat, op. 73 InchEmperorInch, recorded live in Buffalo, NY on 6 November 1960 with the conductor Josef Krips. The second live recording on this CD, taking place only two weeks earlier, concerns Beethoven's Piano Concerto No.2 in B-flat, op. 19, conducted by Paul Paray, in an original and personal performance by both these artists. This very significant addition to the discography of Glenn Gould furthers the image of this eclectic, fascinating and singular artist.

Hateful Abandon - Liars-Bastards - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Bristol-based Hateful Abandon refuse to nestle into any classification. Their genre-blurring sound has been described as Incha post-apocalyptic journey that isn't bound by artificial genre conventions, incorporating the best elements of the rebellious ideology of Crass, the original spirit of industrial innovation that drove tag's like Throbbing Gristle's Industrial Records, and the somber post punk and gothic rock of bands like Joy Division and Killing Joke.Inch
