I've loved Dave the Diver ever since the first time I played it on PC. I knew I just HAD to own the physical for the Nintendo Switch. It's the kind of game you can play on a handheld or on the big screen. The game is quite challenging and complex, but not overly so. It has just the right balance of challenge/frustration/exploration/silliness. If you like an honest days work that involves catching the craziest fish imaginable, leveling up your gear, managing sushi restaurants, growing vegetables, running a fish hatchery, helping an under water ancient civilization, racing seahorses for money, having insane boss battles, laughing a lot... this game might be for you!

Open these games as soon as possible to ensure that the game is there. I bought this game in September 2024 doing early Christmas shopping. Something told me to check inside for whatever reason and found out that no game was inside. Since this purchase happened so far in the past I can't even return it through the online system but I'm looking for options because there's no way I paid for a box.

The charming animations and writing supplement a mechanically dense experience that never stops dangling a new carrot to chase. You owe it to yourself to pick up this outstandingly funny, enthralling, and weird gem.

Fun. Varied. Weird. All the things that make games neat. Loved this game, little bit sim/platformer/action. 8/10

i love this game so much! it brings my love for the ocean and its beautiful creatures mixing it with a story game! the little cut scenes int he game are my favorite!
