David Greenberger & Dozens - Greenberger, David & Dozens : Near the Edge of the Penny Jar Spill - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

My Thoughts Approximately draws on four decades of conversations David Greenberger has had with elderly in various cities and circumstances, which are the starting point for the thirty emotionally, rich, character driven monologues. The recording sessions begin with musical ideas from the ensemble. Greenberger matches his text to the composition, allowing it to develop in the studio. Greenberger is best known for 32 years of his periodical, The Duplex Planet, which was borne out of his conversations with residents at a nursing home in Boston beginning in 1979. Over time monologues + music evolved, the elements working in tandem to form what he refers to as Incha band with a guy talking.Inch

Team Demo continue their incredible hot streak of the past few years with a hard-hitting new album, It's a Demo, featuring raw production and dope guest features. The legendary DMV production crew is joined by the likes of Method Man, Skyzoo, Rome Streetz, Planet Asia, and Ras Kass for a record full of banging beats and slick lyricism. What's even more impressive about this project is that it arrives on the heels of another Team Demo , this past spring's The Essential Team Demo LP. It served as a reintroduction of sorts for the crew and it compiled previously released tracks from their 12Inch singles and full length-all remastered. On top of that, they're doing it all independently, which Team Demo admits is challenging but well worth it. InchDoing this independently is a lot harder than people think, but is also more rewarding,Inch Team Demo says. InchBetting on yourself is always the best bet.Inch And with It's a Demo, Team Demo is blessing hip-hop heads with an all-killer, no-filler project that kicks off with the grimy InchQuest Love Bounce,Inch which in addition to guest appearances from lyrical heavyweights Skyzoo and Planet Asia, find both Wais and Yogi reunited once again after their recently released high season anthem, InchTimbs in the Summer.Inch They both appear on Team Demo's favorite track, the grimy InchQuest Love Bounce,Inch which features none other than Skyzoo and Planet Asia, too. As for Wais, he wanted to shout out InchCreepInch with MC Eiht and Montage One. InchIt's got such an authentic old-school and West Coast vibe,Inch he says. Other standouts include InchCamera Flash (feat. Illa Ghee, Wais P & Method Man)Inch and InchWhat You Don't See (feat. Lil Fame of M.O.P. & Nems).Inch
