This review is for Dead Island:Game of the Year Edition for Playstation 3. This game is simply a stunning masterpiece....i have beaten the game but with so much to do including side missions and game play, there are over 60+ hours of play herein if you do everything like i did. 3 DLC Packs are included... 1.Bloodbath Arena.. 2.Ryder White Episode 3.The Ripper Weapon Blueprint this game is open world..go anywhere and do anything herein...with the exception of 2 or 3 missions which require you to complete it before moving on. Graphics are great and the environment is stunning...it captures the world of zombies to a tee. Only 2 problems i have found with this game is sometimes it can get repetitive. For Example...you go into a certain areas..you clear zombies out of it and 2 seconds later they are back and you haveta do it again.they should have made it to where you can actually remove zombies out of certain area to make it safer for others to come out of hiding. This is NOT the case.2nd is time and time again the game will glitch, not badly mind you.but you will notice it...last play through it froze 1 time.and hasnt froze since.so there are some glitches but not enough to really disrupt gameplay. These are also the only 2 cons i have found in this game.... Play by yourself or even play in a 4 Player Co-Op..or play online with other Network Players...I recommend this game wholeheartedly.. It is reasonably priced and well worth the money. This is by far one of my favorite games ever.

Welcome to Banoi, a lush tropical paradise located off the coast of Papua New Guinea. Oh, I forgot to mention one thing, the island is infested with zombies. Dead Island is an open world action role-playing game (RPG). The game takes place on a fictional island off the coast of Papua New Guinea, consisting of weapons that range from paddles, machetes, guns, knives and many more. Guns arrive pretty late in the game, but ranged weapons are not the main focus in Dead Island. The game is mainly focused on melee combat. Melee Weapons in the game break very easily, but you can repair and upgrade them (guns too) at the nearest workbench. You can also create new weapons, and modify current ones using items you fine scattered across the island. You also can sell and buy items that are in your inventory. Another great feature of the game is that it has skill trees, when you level up you will be granted with one skill point which you can use to upgrade certain attributes in either the survival, combat, or fury sections in one of the skill trees. You earn XP by killing zombies, or completing quests. There are different types of zombies, Walkers, infected, thugs, rams, suiciders, butchers and floaters. Each "breed" of zombies has it's own attributes, for example the infected are fast, and the suiciders will explode when you get to close. The butchers and floaters arrive a little later in the game. The game also consists of 3 areas, these areas are, the Resort, the City, and the Jungle. Each area has a different "feel" to it. The very first area you start out in is the Resort. Each of the three areas in the game are relatively large, but the Jungle is the largest one out of the three by far. The game also has it's flaws, the game does have some graphical issues. For example, when you move to another area, the scenery takes about 20-30 seconds to settle. As well as the scenery, when you equip another weapon, (especially a firearm) it will look a little diluted, but will only take about 3 seconds for it to pass. The game also has an option of co-op play. An icon will appear on the right side of the screen informing you what player is nearby. You can join their game, or they can can join yours with a press of a button, with no loss of progress. You can have up to four players fight alongside you in co-op. There are also vehicles in the game (mainly pickup trucks) which can hold up to four players. The voice acting in the game is sometimes cheesy, and the game does not really go into depth with the characters story lines, but that does not take away from the fun you will have playing Dead Island. Enjoy your stay at Banoi!

For $20 this is a pretty good game. Good graphics, very gory. Its weird playing in single player mode but all the cut scenes have you with a group of the other selectable characters (Where were they all at when Zombies were attacking me left and right!!!???) This isnt a ground breaking game or anything, but it was a good hold over while I waited for GTA V!

It was rather slow at first, but once I learned the mechanics of the game and started killing zombies, it became enjoyable. It's a great game for the price and I recommend it to anyone who likes co-op games. The ability to jump in and out of other co-op games with ease works well. It's even good for single play, but co-op is where this game shines.

I like the graphics of the game in PS3. I love the plot they put the characters in. Something I would like them to do is change the way of weapons disintegrate in the hands. He can just throw all the pieces to the zombies. I like the nature and detail they put to it.

Lots of zombies! Good game to play. My brother really enjoyed it.

If not for the occasional freeze or bug this would be the perfect melee survival game by far. If you can stand a substandard story and some bugs you'll find this game rewarding.

This is a fun one, but I do like zombie games. Anytime you can run a few over in your truck is a good time.

If you played the previous game you will enjoy this one as well. Unlike other games, they didn't change the gameplay. You can make adjustments which also adds to the player's experience. The zombie fights are more challenging which can get irritating when a horde comes after you, but it shouldn't be too easy or else it's pointless to play. Lots of great weapon modifications help you out along the way.

I had some friends pick this game up. It was resonably priced so I bought it to. I have enjoyed it so far. I like that you can complete the story solo or with online friends.

Only halfway through but good game so far. First person zombie killing... really fun but gets slightly repetitive. Recommend it.

The game play is great; continually smashing zombie faces in turns out to be an awesome stress reliever.
