CD reissue. Youthquake is the second and breakthrough album by the British pop group Dead or Alive. At the time the album was underrated by the critics but nowadays this is an absolute must for the synthpop lovers. Released in 1985 catches all the good vibrations of the 80's blended with rhythm and youth. It was Dead or Alive's first collaboration with the famous Stock, Aitken & Waterman production team. While the InchYouthquakeInch album is perhaps best known for InchYou Spin Me RoundInch, it also features club favorites that are just as energetic, like InchD.J. Deluxe four CD edition. 2025 marks Youthquake's 40th Anniversary. It reached #9 in the UK Album Chart and spent a quarter of a year on it. Combined, the four singles spent 59 weeks on the UK Singles Chart. Youthquake features the singles 'In Too Deep', 'Lover Come Back To Me', 'My Heart Goes Bang (Get Me To The Doctor)' and the Band's #1 hit 'You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)'. It took 17 weeks to hit the top spot, which meant that it was more than a flash in the pan single. Packaged in a 7Inch Deluxe Double-Gatefold Wallet with O-Ring, this 41-track, 4CD edition captures the band in the studio, as well as in a Live setting. CD1 contains the original album, whilst CD2 is dedicated to 'You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)' with a variety of mixes and alternate versions. CD3 features a selection of 7Inch & 12Inch versions, remixes and instrumental versions and CD4 contains the 'Youthquake Live Tour', recorded at The Hammersmith Odeon in July 1985. Although Pete Burns and Steve Coy are no longer with us, they along with Mike Percy and Tim Lever created and delivered some of the most memorable moments in Popular music during the mid-1980s, which have truly stood the test of time.
