Deathcollector - Death's Toll - VINYL LP

Vinyl LP pressing. 2017 . Multi-instrumentalist Jenny Logan, AKA Deathlist, grew up in central California and at age 13, she was forbidden to speak. After a long year of silence, she ran away in the middle of the night, moved to New York City, and started playing in bands. At first Jenny was too shy to face her audiences, and refused to speak into a microphone. Only after years of touring and playing in other peoples' projects - including My Teenage Stride, Mortals, World Atlas, Ribbons, and Summer Cannibals - was she able to quietly reassemble the voice that was silenced as a girl. The assemblage is Deathlist. Her debut was conceived as a diary of chronicling a year spent coming to terms with the impending death of her estranged father. Album Tracks 1. Wait 2. Dream of 3. Irl 4. Not the Same 5. Hate 6. With You Now 7. Stay There 8. June 9. The Night 10. Don't Mind Asking

Symbolic stands as a monumental in the discography of Death, a band that has significantly shaped the trajectory of death metal. Released in 1995, this album not only encapsulates the evolution of the genre but also showcases Death's transition toward a more progressive and technically sophisticated sound. The craftsmanship of Chuck Schuldiner, the band's frontman and principal songwriter, shines throughout the album with intricate guitar work and thoughtful lyrics that explore themes of existence and human emotion far beyond the typical confines of metal. The album's complexity and depth have earned it critical acclaim and a devoted following, making it a sought-after gem for collectors and audiophiles alike. Notably, InchSymbolicInch stands out in the vinyl community due to it's rarity, being the only album from Death's catalog that hasn't been reissued on vinyl in recent years, even though it's often cited as the cornerstone album in one of the most impressive death metal discographies of all time.
