About this product
The visionaries at Bethesda, Arkane and Laced are bringing the twisted '60s soundtrack for award-winning looper-shooter DEATHLOOP to wax. This double LP set features a 19-track selection specially mastered for vinyl and pressed on heavyweight LPs in solid blue and orange, with printed inner sleeves and a wide-spined outer sleeve. Tracklist curation and stunning original sleeve artwork is by the team at Arkane Lyon. Lead composer Tom Salta has built an enviable credits list, with entries in the Prince of Persia, Tom Clancy and Halo universes to his name. For DEATHLOOP's original score, he immersed himself in the music of Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Nelson Riddle and a host of other late-'60s influences. Layers of period-appropriate organs, synths and other instruments (including Rhodes, Wurlitzer and Hammond B3) help maintain the tension as Colt picks off Eternalists from the shadows. As things get dicey, or Julianna intervenes with extreme prejudice, tracks explode into furious guitar and drum grooves that propel the zany, supernaturally enhanced gunplay. Ross Tregenza's multi-genre diegetic cues perfectly complement the psycho-sophisticate stylings of Blackreef's artistically aspirational inhabitants, while songwriter Erich Talaba and singer Jeff Cummings brought to life the vicious visionary Frank Spicer with catchy in-universe songs. Music agency Sencit teamed up with powerful yet soulful vocalists for trailer and credits songs, including Bond-ish banger InchDéjà VuInch (featuring FJØRA), InchPitch BlackInch (featuring Lady Blackbird) and InchDown the Rabbit HoleInch (featuring Samantha Howard & Haqq.)

Max Reger's oeuvre occupies a unique position between the centuries. His advanced compositional techniques made him one of the most frequently performed composers at the Verein für musikalische Privataufführungen in Vienna and meant that he was held in great esteem by Arnold Schönberg. His affinity for Bach in his settings as well as in his choice of forms, architectonic techniques, and specific instrumentations was just as obvious as his grounding in Romanticism and his veneration for Beethoven and Brahms. Reger's ties to the tradition - in this case to Mozart and Brahms - were the point of departure for his Clarinet Quintet in A major op. 146, a work radiating an ease that hardly seems to have been disturbed by the circumstances of a world war. The major tonality of the work is unusual in the chamber music from Reger's late period and something it shares with the String Sextet op. 118. Apart from the sextet, after 1909 it is found only in the Flute Serenade in G major op. 141a and in the clarinet quintet. In contrast to these two other works, however, the sextet is of much greater complexity in formal design and material elaboration, which happens to be assigned to a very obvious thematic presentation. Even though Reger did not live to experience the publication and premiere of the clarinet quintet, the string sextet received a posthumous tribute inasmuch as the study score was immured in the base of Reger's funerary monument in the Waldfriedhof in Munich on 11 May 1930.

Laced Records and Ubisoft Toronto have banded together to bring Far Cry 6's soundtrack to good old-fashioned vinyl records. This Standard Edition features black discs, with two LPs covering the original score and one including in-world music tracks. 48 specially mastered tracks will be pressed onto heavyweight vinyl, which will come housed in spined inner sleeves that slip into a silver laminated wide-spined outer sleeve. Sleeve artwork was created by the Ubisoft Toronto team. Lead composer Pedro Bromfman's credits include three seasons of Netflix's Narcos, Need For Speed Heat and Max Payne 3. Having grown up studying the beautiful and soulful music of the Caribbean and Latin America, he brought his particular experience with stringed Latin instruments to bear on Far Cry 6's score. Bromfman carefully layers Spanish guitar, Cuban tres, Bolivian ronroco and more atop oppressive dark ambient and percussive elements, creating music that evokes a nuanced blend of sadness, anger and hope - contrasting the menace of El Presidente with the spirit of the guerrillas. The vinyl set includes a selection of diegetic and in-game radio tracks that serve to immerse the player in the vibrant setting of Yara. This in-world body of music is lead by two exceptional composers Cuban-Canadian jazz master Hilario Duran created faithful Afro-Caribbean street ensemble pieces; while composer-producer Ariel Contreras-Esquivel recorded a real military band for his fictional national anthem InchHimno Nacional YaranoInch and other militaristic marches. It was a priority for the Far Cry 6 music team to truthfully represent the latino spirit, and highlight authentic Latin American and Afro-Latin artists from off the beaten path. Venezuelan rapper Gabylonia (with backing by Peruvian producer Rilabeats) contributes InchCamino RevolucionarioInch and InchCarta al TiranoInch, the latter performed during

Soundtrack to Canuxploitation classic THINGS from 1989.
