Dee Farrow - Low Tidings - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Rocshire Records sounds of the early-80s underground and indie cult classics for fans of West Coast punk, power pop, new wave and synth music presents a hard rock gem steeped in 1980s sheen presents a polished slice of early-'80s synth-pop that sits comfortably between European new wave cool and American radio charm. Built on programmed rhythms, sleek keyboards, and controlled melodic hooks, it reflects a period of growing fascination with technology, image, and emotional restraint. Andy Lunn's production is clean and uncluttered, favoring atmosphere and groove over excess. The vocals, recorded at Hotline Studios, are understated and detached, giving the songs a careful balance of pop accessibility and a lingering sense of distance. More style than spectacle, and more late-night drive than big-chorus anthems, this album arrived at a crowded moment and quickly slipped from view. In hindsight, it stands as a record deserving of a second look - a concise and coherent statement from the new wave era, stylish, restrained, and firmly rooted in it's time.

The long awaited follow-up by uMaNg & B.B.Z Darney to their critically acclaimed 2014 tag debut, The Black Rose Certificate, is finally here! This album is the undoing of the mind, the breaking down to be built-up again from scratch. It's said thoughts can become a very dangerous thing if left unguided, often leading us into a seemingly inescapable void, crippling the mind in the process. It takes deliberate, purposeful shifting through dedication and effort to rehabilitate back to form. This album is also a celebration of defying the odds, reaffirming one's identity through thought, action, and music as uMaNg conceptually & lyrically goes IN as never before over B.B.Z Darney's rich, melodic, hot & cold, string-driven production. The listening of this album is not only for the enjoyment of hip-hop, reminiscent of it's golden age. But, also partaking in the experience of these respective artists audibly triumphing over obstacles, hurdles, and roadblocks that may attempt to derail them from their creative path. Thus, marking such an occasion as being something that can only be truly described as InchMonu-mEnTaLInch.

Little Feat's 1971 debut has become one of the greatest InchlostInch rock and roll albums of all time. It's a little different than the sound that made them popular, with a mix of garage, blues and country. Includes Willin'; Truck Stop Girl; Crazy Captain Gunboat Willie; Strawberry Flats, and more gems.
